Made From Beauty Weekend Getaway MakeupAs a lot of you might already know from my Twitter and Instagram, Josh and I made a getaway this weekend to celebrate Easter with his family in Devon. Although I wouldn’t normally fuss with makeup on this sort of weekend trip, I thought it would be nice to look (and feel) a bit more put together on actual Easter, so yesterday we managed to take a couple of snaps of what I’ve brought with me this weekend…

Base wise I’ve kept things very light, glowy and fresh with the KIKO Hydrating Fluid Foundation: Universal Fit. I have given this foundation a full review in THIS past post, so I won’t rattle on about it too much, but the key things you need to know are: medium coverage, super hydration, dewy finish and the perfect base for a weekend in the country.

To add to the glow I also brought along my Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand which truly is magical and one of my favourite products of the moment. If you want to read my full review of this product you can head to my review HERE.

To keep things in place I added a dusting of my Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder. I love this finely milled, subtle powder because it still allows foundation to keep it’s glow and leaves you with a long-lasting, glowing look. I have also revised this product in a bit more detail in THIS post.

The only other thing I added to my base was a touch of this Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher. I have been so excited for Spring because it’s now officially creme blush season! This Max Factor number is easily blendable with you fingers, adds a fresh, glowing pop of colour to the cheeks – just the kind that you’d get from a slightly chilly walk.

On the eyes I kept things as simple as possible with a touch of the KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in 28 Bright Ivory for a wash of glimmering brightness that will last all day and night. I topped off the cream shadow is a couple of coats of my new favourite mascara; the tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara (which you can read my full review of HERE).

And finally on the lips I popped on a touch of my new Lancôme Juicy Shaker in Boom-Meringue which I reviewed yesterday; you can can catch that post HERE.
