You guys seem to love it when I do mascara reviews (you can see past posts just like this one HERE & HERE), so I have a new formula I had to share with you. I’ve been very lucky to have lots of compliments on my lashes in my new IGTV videos and so I thought I’d share my secret… Recently, you’ll find my lashes with a healthy dose of Lancôme Monsieur Big coating them from root to tip.
I am a long-time lover of Lancôme mascaras (check out THIS OG post for the evidence), and their most recent offering doesn’t disappoint! Monsieur Big gives jet black, flake-proof lashes with all the volume and length a girl could need. On an everyday basis, I have been wearing just one coat of the mascara – which is kind of unheard of for me. Normally I’m there layering things up until it all gets a bit clumpy, I’m a fan of that look. Yet, just one simple slick of Monsieur Big satisfies my need for BIG lashes.
If I’m feeling particularly fancy then I do build this mascara up. This results in lashes that could basically be seen from space; huge, full of volume and super long. If you are a fan of the slightly spidery (but in a good way) lash look then this mascara is the one for you. The other brilliant thing about Monsieur Big, aside from its ability to build lashes that would rival falsies, is its staying power. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how hot it has been in the UK recently, but let’s just say that fellow makeup lover the country over are battling with a serious case of melting makeup. Out of any other product going onto my face in this extreme weather, Monsieur Big manages to hang around. No smudging, no flaking and 100% no panda eyes.
The super-lash-giving formula of Monsieur Big comes with one drawback; it can be hard to remove. If you’re a fan of using micellar water or a cream cleanser to remove your makeup, then you might struggle. I use a balm or oil cleanser when using this mascara and have never had a problem, but something to bear in mind.
I can safely say I have found my summer mascara, if not one of my favourite mascaras of all time. What is your current favourite mascara? Let me know in the comments below.
