It seems to be all about the L’Oréal on Made From Beauty at the moment; you can check out my other reviews on the brands new releases, including the Colour Riche Lip Palettes and Infallible Matte Max Lip Colours HERE and HERE.
But today I’m giving you the full low down on the new L’Oréal Infallible Sculpt Collection featuring the Infallible Sculpt Base Foundation, Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette, Infallible Sculpt Blush Trio in Soft Rosy and the Dual Ended Sculpting Brush.
Infallible Sculpt Base Foundation:
I’m not sure where to start with this product…when first applying this base it is immediately clear that it’s very lightweight and fluid. The base surprisingly offers medium to full coverage that’s long lasting and has a demi-matte finish. This all sounds great, right? Yet, I don’t like it.
The Infallible Sculpt Base Foundation has a tendency to exaggerate skin texture, any uneven texture, dry patches, anything! It also grabbed onto any fine hairs on the face and made them stand out – not flattering.
L’Oreal say that this base has been created so that sculpting products can be seamlessly blended on top of it, but I’m not convinced that it’s any different to any other foundation when it comes to blendability.
Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette:
And on to the product that’s going to gain lots of attention in the beauty world, the Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette. In this product you get a contour and highlight shade, both cream to powder formula, both matte in finish.
Both shades blend seamlessly, and are very long lasting, lasting around six hours without a touch up.
If you feel a little unsure how to start contouring, this palette even comes with a little informational sheet, with diagrams and instructions to help you place the shades in the right place, for day or night.
Although I think this is a great product for the price, I did find the contour a little too red toned for my skin tone, so I’ll be saving mine to use as a cream bronzer in the summer rather than a contour shade year round. I did also find the highlight shade a bit too sheer and found it didn’t layer very well at all.
Infallible Sculpt Blush Trio in Soft Rosy:
This product has to be the stand out product for me and the one I could see myself repurchasing. In the rose toned palette you’ll find a cheek highlight and two complimenting blush tones. All the powders are soft in texture, making them super bendable and highly pigmented. I like to mix all the shades together to get an illuminating blush, adding a glow right across the cheeks.
At one end it is very similar to the Estee Lauder Sculpting Foundation Brush, a tool I’ve lusted after for a while now. It is a sculpted curve that hugs the cheekbones, allowing you to get a smooth contour. It also works very well for contouring the nose, with it’s sharp edges letting you create a faint, straight, thin line along the sides of the nose to sculpt it. On the other end is a type of brush that we are all a little more familiar with; a flat foundation brush. This side is great for applying the Infallible Sculpt Base Foundation or the highlight from the Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette. Overall I am happy with this brush, I like using it, even if I don’t reach for it everyday.
Will you be trying anything from the L’Oréal Infallible Sculpt Collection? Let me know in the comments below!
If you’re looking to check out the full range I’d suggest picking up one of these L’Oreal Three Step Contouring Kit (I think they are an online exclusive)!

I had my mind set on trying the contour kit, but the color really looks quite red when swatched.

I’m still not 100% convinced I’m experienced enough at makeup to make contouring work for me so have been reluctant to shell out on a contour kit. Until now of course, this is pretty affordable and seems pretty impossible to go wrong with!

That blusher looks absolutely stunning, what gorgeous shades! That’s a shame that the contour palette is a bit red-toned, I was hoping to find an amazing drugstore cream contour shade, guess I’ll have to keep looking! :)
