If you saw Sunday’s post you’ll know that this weekend I went to my first blog meet up with the Southampton Bloggers.
As it was my first big event it was pretty daunting. Luckily at least I knew where I was going; Revolution in Bedford Place, Southampton. I walked in, and awkwardly stood by the bar waiting for a drink. I stupidly arrived about ten minuets late, so most people had got over the awkward introduction phase, so I felt a little out of place to start…but thankfully the lovely Anna from Bright Eye Blog introduced herself to me! After we exchanged blog names and blogging specialties, we were best buds! Phew!
With a little bit of mingling Anna and I felt a little more at home, especially as we bumped into Angi from Two Different Worlds. I had met Angi at the Lush Basingstoke Event a little while ago (post of this event here) so it was lovely to have a familiar face too!
A whole host of different bloggers from all over the south coast attended, with around flurry of us in total, so there were lots of people to get to know!
I was delighted to meet Ami and Becky, after speaking to them previously on Twitter! So with my business cards at the ready (courtesy of Moo FYI for those who were asking) we all got stuck in chatting about all things beauty and fashion!
Event organisers Alice and Amy had made sure there were lots of exciting challenges and activities on offer thanks to Hairfinity and ESPA Skincare. With yummy goodies from Jude’s Ice Cream and Love Cake Bakery, we were all digging in soon enough! There was also a Instagram frame – my God, I want one!
I also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Chloe of Hinks Thinks Fashion. In fact, about two seconds after introducing herself she managed to chuck her drink at me! – I promise I didn’t say anything to upset her! Bless her!
Then there was the beautiful and equally stylish Maddie, who’s fashion blog is certainly one to envy!
There really were so many wonderful bloggers at the event and it was a complete blast! At the event we raised £350 for the Epilepsy Society, through the brilliant raffle. Prices included Benefit and Esqido lashes goodies. I was lucky enough to win a bundle of olives from Oloves, quick reaction photo for you here:
