I think a lot of us in the beauty community get tied up thinking about our monthly or yearly beauty favourites, we often forget about the everyday heroes. The products that might not be the most glamorous, but that always get the job done. This post might not be the most definitive of lists when it comes to my everyday essentials (I really am that high maintenance when it comes to my beauty routine), but I just wanted to share a few products that I have found myself going back to time & time again.
When it comes to everyday products I couldn’t be without dry shampoo. The one I have been working my way through recently is the IGK Hair Direct Flight Multi-tasking Dry Shampoo. This formula is a bit of a step up from my usual, using turmeric & charcoal powder to thoroughly cleanse the hair. I love this offering from IGK Hair as it doesn’t give my hair too much more volume (God knows I don’t need that) & yet really refreshes my hair between washes.
Skin wise I have been a big fan of the Caudalie Vinopure Clear Skin Purifying Toner. My skin has been so up & down with blemishes recently & this toner just seems to balance everything nicely. The toner instantly mattifies the skin & reduces excess of sebum – perfect for keeping blemishes at bay.
A product I wasn’t sure I wasn’t going to love originally was the Alpha-H Liquid Gold Resurfacing Body Cloths. Have you ever used pre-soaked exfoliating pads for the face? Well these are like huge ones but for the body. I have been using them on my arms almost everyday to try & reduce the small bumps I have on the top of my arms. So far, they have made a little bit of a difference & they have absolutely brightened the skin on my arms, as well as making them softer. The textured side of the cloths gently buff away dead skin cells & impurities from the skin. The smooth side restore hydration, suppleness & add luminosity. Each cloth is infused with a blend of glycolic acid and botanicals, making them super easy to use quickly each day.
What did I say about the products in this post not being too glamorous at the start? Well yes, deodorant might not be glamorous but it is something we all use daily. I have been loving the new Soft & Gentle 0% Aluminium Floral Roll On Anti-perspirant Deodorant. I have been trying out natural deodorants for a while (it all started after I read a few articles about aluminium in traditional deodorants being linked to ill health) but I haven’t been able to settle on one that works. This Soft & Gentle formulation might not be totally natural, but it doesn’t contain aluminium which is the ingredient I have been most trying to avoid. I might not use this deodorant if I was going to the gym, but it does give enough protection for everyday wear.
