Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette Glossy Lid

Guys, I am so behind on posting! You might have seen I took a little break from posting over on Instagram & there certainly hasn’t been a post on here for a while. My excuses include being ill (just a horrible cold), busy lecturing at a university (did I really just type that?! I’ll update you guys more soon) & doing lots of things behind the scenes for Made From Beauty (dramatically ranging in exciting-ness from taxes to a huge project coming soon). So, the long & the short of it is I’ve had a new palette in my collection for a little while & haven’t had chance to post about it…

Meet the new Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette

Normally I’m not the hugest fan of bright eyeshadow shades, but when it comes to reddish tones, I must admit…I am a bit partial to a different eye look. The palette comes with 12 red, brown & rose gold shades in a range of finishes from matte to shimmer. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of the shadows (as I always am when it comes to Urban Decay shadows). They do not crease, they are all well pigmented & blend very well.

I’m not very good at eye shadow in general, so I might not be the most amazing beauty blogger to review this palette. But, what I have found works best for me is to use just one colour all over the lid. Most days I have been reaching for more of a subtle shade like ‘Juicy’ all over the lid but in this look I have used ‘Devilish’ smudged all over the lid & topped with a little of Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips for a glossy lid. Sure, glossy lids might not be totally practical (they crease in 30 seconds flat & smudge under the eye if you’re not careful), but they sure are pretty. This sort of no-fuss look is the only type of eyeshadow I’ve been doing at the moment.

So could you be tempted by the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette? And would you try out a glossy lid yourself? Let me know in the comments below.
