Boots Feline Fierce Glamour Puss Makeup Look

Halloween is a great time of year to experiment with different looks and characters. This year I’ve created a Glamour Puss look as part of the Boots Feline Fierce campaign and I can’t wait to show you my Halloween Makeup. Having fun with the look was a chance for me to play with makeup items I don’t normally try; like huge lashes & glitter. I really enjoyed letting my inner Glamour Puss come out!

To create the look, I followed my normal foundation & brow routine before taking the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey to start my eyeshadow, I used a pale shade from the palette to create a base. Then, using sweeping motions, I used a brown from the palette to build a smokey crease.

Then I used the black shadow from the palette to slowly build up the intensity of the crease. I kept the shadow placement low in the crease, blending upwards, so that you could still see some of the brown.

Now on to the fun! I used the Collection Glam Crystals Glitter Glue to lay down a tacky base for my gold glitter. I used an angled brush to keep the application neat; creating a soft cut crease. Next I grabbed my NYX Glitter Brilliance Face & Body Glitter in the shade Gold on a small brush & started to pack onto the tacky base.

Once I had applied glitter all over my lids, I moved on to the most important part of the look: The Cat Eye! For this look I used the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner (which, by the way is probably one of the best affordable liners I’ve ever used). I wanted to create a really exaggerated winged liner look for my Glamour Puss, so I just went with what suited my eye shape. Winged liner is all about adding little bits as you go & building slowly. For Halloween you can of course go totally over the top, like I did!

Now I went back to my NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey to smoke out the bottom lash line, with the same shade we used in the crease. I left my inner corner bare of shadow here because I wanted to add a splash more glitter to the look.

So back in with the Collection Glam Crystals Glitter GlueNYX Glitter Brilliance Face & Body Glitter; I popped a little extra glitter on the inner corner. I then moved onto mascara. I used the Bourjois Volume Eye Catching Mascara for added feline flair. I have been really loving this mascara recently, it gives really amazing voluminous, jet black lashes. But I wasn’t going to stop there; I went for the biggest, most cat-like lashes in my collection; the Ardell lashes faux mink lashes in style 811.These lashes really accentuated my winged liner – purrfect!

To add a bit of colour to my cheeks I reached for the C.Y.O Crush On Blush Powder Blush in shade Unfiltered. As it’s Halloween, I went for a brighter blush than I normally would & popped it high on the cheekbones for a lifted look.

Then I went back to my Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip liner to draw on a cat nose, whiskers & dots to complete the face. For my final step, I used the Maybelline Color Show Khol Eyeliner to scribble over my top lip and patted the NYX Glitter Brilliance Face & Body Glitter into some lip balm on the bottom lip.

I really enjoyed creating my Cat Halloween Makeup! You can also create your own feline look by stopping off at Boots to grab some of the items in this post. Or you could also follow along with this video tutorial to create a more realistic cat makeup look.
