Current Everyday Makeup

I feel like everyday makeup posts are kind of old school now. But, I love to read one once in a while as it’s good to get a feel for what people are actually using. So for this post I dumped my makeup bag out on the side & wanted to give you the scoop on my current go-to’s.

For base, I have been switching things up a little recently & I have actually been using a primer most days. The first I have been reaching for is MAC’s Strobe Cream in Pinklite. Although this product isn’t technically a primer (it’s more a do-it-all illuminator), I have been loving adding this under my foundation for added glow. Then on days where I’m dealing with a few more skin issues, I have been using the Cosmetics à la Carte Matte Miracle Primer. The gel texture of the primer is cooling on the skin, so perfect if I have sensitive skin (something I’ve been struggling with more & more) & I love how it mattifies the skin without making my makeup look cakey.

Foundation wise I have been loving either the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua or the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue. Both are lightweight, look like skin on the skin & are perfect for non-fussy makeup. Concealer wise; I have found a complete gem recently in the L’Oreal Infallible Concealer Pomade! In contrast to the foundations I’ve been loving, this concealer is thick in texture & super full coverage. I use just a small amount (& when set with the Hourglass Veil Powder it stays in place all day) & really buff it in where I need it for a everyday flawless makeup no-makeup-look.

I’m kind of skipping bronzer at the moment in favour for more & more blush. One of my favourite formulas right now is the Colour Veil blush from Illamasqua. Extra glow points for not setting this gel-cream blush with powder! Elsewhere on the face, I am keeping things really simple. If I want colour on the eyes then I normally reach for a cream product from KIKO & my current mascara is still the Lancôme Monsieur Big. I skip lip colour during the week too, but do spend time building up my brows with the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows Brow Gel

You guys will have to let me know in the comments below; do you still enjoy a good ‘everyday makeup routine’ post? Also, let me know if you have tried any of the products in this post!
