Benefit Minis ReviewAs a self confessed, complete beauty addict, all the product can be a little overwhelming. As a beauty blogger, I am lucky enough to try so many different products. The trouble with this? Well, I quite often get left with a million bottles/palettes/pots of half used, unloved product. So could mini beauty be the way forward?

The boom in mini beauty has been something that is only really taken off in the UK. Gone are the days of only serious beauty addicts stocking up in Sephora’s ‘isle of doom’ on all their mini products. Now you’ll find mini sections on Cult Beauty, in Space NK stores; finally the world of mini beauty has come to British shores. One brand that has always been ahead of the curve in the mini trend is Benefit. They have been making mini products for years. With my new found love for mini products, I went back to the brands pick & mix style shopping experience & boy have I been stocking up.

It all started with the mini Bad Gal Bang mascara. I desperately wanted to try Benefit’s new mascara formulation (I’ve been a fan of the brands mascara offerings for a long time), but really couldn’t justify another mascara in my collection. So, I bought a mini. That doesn’t count, right? Well, I suppose you could say this added to the problem, because I fell in love with the mini product so much I went out & bought the full size in no time – but that’s beside the point.

Next was the mini Porefessional Primer. I have been a fan of this primer for the longest time, as I’m sure a love of makeup lovers are, and yet never taken the plunge to buy the full size. As you need such a small amount of the thick, pore filling primer, I have always been able to get by with the mini versions.

Mini Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick Review

Probably one of my less smart buys was the mini Goof Proof Brow Pencil. Although I absolutely love this product, think speedy brows in just a few strokes, I went through this mini so quickly. I just don’t know what I do with my brow pencils, I go through them so quickly! Anyone else have this problem?

But by far one of my best mini product buys from Benefit has to be the Hoola Quickie Contour Stick! I have been umming and ahing about buying this product for such a long time and so thought I’d try the mini. Final thoughts? It’s great. Really. I use mine to lightly contour my nose; not something I was too into until recently, but now it’s my new found love. It’s just the right tone for me to scribble on, lightly bounce out with a Beauty Blender and voilà, a perfectly contoured nose.

I spoke about my love for mini beauty before in THIS post. But what are your thoughts on mini beauty products? Are you a sucker for mini makeup like me? Or would you rather always have the full sized product? Let me know in the comments below.
