There are certain nail polishes that are just a pleasure to wear. Such a small detail, but when I look down at my nails and see them perfectly manicured in a pretty colour, it really puts a smile on my face.
In the warmer months I like to change my polishes up, in with the brights and the pastels and out with the taupes and greys. I especially like shades that make my hands appear more tanned (I mean if I’m going to all the effect of fake tanning I wanna show it off!)
One shade I’ve had in regular circulation these past few weeks is Essie’s Fiji.
A stunning off white, with a pink undertone. This is the ultimate colour for making hands look healthy and more bronzey. Something about this shade just screams holiday nails and fluffy bunnies – or is that just me?
Think marshmallow pink, with a sophisticated edge. Topped off with a high shine top coat like Seche Vite – now grown ups can do pastel pink nails without it being too girly.
Have you tried Essie Fiji? Or maybe you have another tan enhancing nail colour that you’re reaching for in the warmer weather? Let me know in the comments below!

Instagram Essie addicts are OBSESSED with Fiji! I definitely want to add this shade to my collection at some point! My current favourite lighter shade is Essie Lilacism, and I bought limited edition Pret-a-Surfer last weekend which is just a fabulous shade of blue! I had to have it!
Do you have any other Essie favourite shades?

I have seen the shade an awful lot popping up on Instagram you are right! I’m included in that haha!
Oh I’ve just googled Lilacism, such a beautiful lavender shade and Pret-a-Surfer is just stunning, I wish I’d picked it up!
Essie have a way of making shades really interesting, not just ‘blue’ or ‘pink’!
I am totally addicted to their polishes, my all time fav have to be Maximillian Strasse Her, in the winter I go for Merino Cool very often. And their glitters? Well it has to be A Cut Above – just stunning!
