Bronzing Formulas You’ve Got to TryWith the warmer weather, my addiction to bronzers has got a little out of hand. For me, a bronzer is a must-have beauty product. I can’t say I very often leave the house without a quick dusting or swipe of a bronzey shade across the cheeks and forehead. But in the name of beauty science (we can say that, right?) I have recently been trying out some new formulas in search of the perfect summer colour.

Nars Laguna Liquid Bronzer

The first product that I have been trying out is the Nars Laguna Liquid Bronzer. As a (what feels like) lifelong fan of the powder Nars Laguna Bronzer, I saw the Liquid Bronzer a little while ago but never quite took the plunge. The thing that tipped me off the edge & made me purchase the water-like bronzer was the fact that now I am wear less makeup than I ever have before. In the summer heat I am all about those light layers of makeup, over using coverage where I need it & letting my natural complexion shine through. And, that’s just what this gorgeously thin formula does! The Nars Laguna Liquid Bronzer doesn’t cancel out any freckles, letting your natural summer skin shine through. The formula is so light & blendable I have even found I like to use this when I’m not wearing any other complexion makeup, just to give me a little extra definition.

KIKO Jungle Jelly Maxi Bronzer

I recently got to check out the whole Jungle Jelly collection from KIKO (a brand I’ve always loved) and the Bronzer has really stood out to me. Firstly, if I am going to use a powder bronzer in the summer I love to have a huge pan like this. Secondly, the formula enriched with goji berry oil, is somehow creamy & natural on the skin despite it’s powder texture.

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base

I’ve gone back to the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base recently. Now, I really have a love/hate relationship with this product. The creamy texture is delightful in the summer; giving you glowy, healthy looking skin. Yet, there is no doubt that the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base is orange. If you are super pale, I’m sorry to say this will not be the product for you. If you have a slightly more olive skintone, like me, then you’ll be able to pull off this seriously warm bronzer. I don’t use the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base as a base to my foundation, but rather buff a small amount over my base to give me that sunkissed look.

L’Oréal Bonjour Sunshine Liquid Bronzer

Much like the Nars Laguna Liquid Bronzer, the L’Oréal Bonjour Sunshine Liquid Bronzer has a beautiful liquid texture. I would say the L’Oréal Bonjour Sunshine Liquid Bronzer has a slightly heavier formula, so use it sparingly. But if you are in the market for a budget liquid bronzer, to give the formula a go, this would be a great product to start with.

So what is your go-to bronzing formula? Are you a straight-up powder bronzer gal? Or are you a fan of the cream or liquid bronze? Let me know in the comments.
