I have to be one of the laziest people when it comes to hair. If you read THIS post recently, you’ll know I’ve been loving just washing & drying my hair with my Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer and not really styling my hair. But, if there is one season that gets me in the mood to try out some different styles, it has to be summer. It’s just something about the warmer weather that makes me want to try out a few styles I wouldn’t normally do.
For these easy summer hairstyles, I will be using the Lee Stafford Rainbow Shine Bubble Waver. If you saw my IGTV video, you’ll know I have been loving using the waver to give me effortlessly easy summer waves. You can head on over to my channel HERE if you’d like to see my using the waver all over my head. I started out all the styles with my hair simply waved all over, giving me a beautiful beachy texture.
The first hair style has to be one of the easiest, but really adds something pretty to any summer outfit. I simply braided to small pieces of hair from either side of my head, gently pulling the braids out as I went to give a messy texture. Then I pinned these braids to the back of my head, creating a lovely effect across the crown of my head.
The next style is super easy to achieve if you have the texture of your hair perfect before you start. For a more relaxed feel, I brushed out my waves using The Wet Brush, and then pulled through a little Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oleo-Complexe Versatile oil to break my hair up, giving it an un-done feel. The next step is to simply pull hair up into a high ponytail. I didn’t use a brush to do this, and I left some pieces out to frame my face, for a messy, romantic look. Next I used a silky scarf I have had in my wardrobe for a while and wrapped it around the base of my ponytail. There are lots of scarfs like this in highstreet shops at the moment, but I have linked some of my favourites online HERE, HERE & HERE.
For the final look, I wanted something that keep the hair out of my face, perfect for the hot weather. I prepped hair by using the Lee Stafford Lived In Spray (I’ve written a whole post about why I love this product HERE if you’d like to read it), adding more texture & hold to the hair. I simply scooped up the hair around the crown of my head, gathering everything around my face to keep me cool and twisted it into a bun on top of my head. I used an Invisibobble so secure the bun on the top of my head because I find these most comfortable; just ensure you position your hair to hide the band.
These hairstyles were of course made so much easier by having the right wave in my hair and the Lee Stafford Rainbow Shine Bubble Waver made light work of that! Do you experiment with different hair styles in the summer? Let me know in the comments below!
