Spring Bodycare Made From BeautyNow that Spring is officially here (hooray) I have been spending a little bit of time getting my body spring ready. Sure I’m not going to be strutting around a crop top (that, I can tell you, will never happen) but I am starting to wear slightly different clothes as the weather warms up. Think ankles peeking out from jeans, a couple of cold shoulder pieces in rotation and when the sun is shining: arms out! After the long winter I just need to give my body a bit of TLC before changing up my wardrobe.

So as with all skin prep, I have started with hydration. Hydration hides a multitude of sins in the skin department & instantly perks any complexion up. The first product I have even going crazy on is the Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater & Pink Peppercorn Body Gel. For being a gel this body cream/gel packs a lot of punch in the moisture department. Not only does this beautiful product from Look Fantastic sink into the skin instantly, plump up skin and revive dry elbows, it also smells like the most incredible explosion of rosey, peppery goodness.

When I said I wasn’t messing about with the body transformation, I was 100% serious. Evidence A: the Alpha H Liquid Gold Body Resurfacing Cloths. I have been using these handy facial skincare-esque wipes all over my body for the past month & have been blown away by the results. If you know me on Twitter, you’ll know I’m the first one to recommend the Alpha H Liquid Gold for a whole host of skin worries on the face. Liquid Gold truly is the best chemical exfoliant I have ever tried & now I’ve found a product to get that goodness on the body too?! Amazing! After using these wipes a couple of times (I use them about 2-3 times a week) my skin is soft, smooth & glowing from head to toe.

When it comes to making my skin flawless in an instant, I don’t think you can beat the Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant Skin Finish. Rumour has it that Vita Liberata are about to revamp & add to the Body Blur range which I am so excited for because I have been an addict of this product for such a long time. Now back to the pampering…A brand I am so excited to tell you all about is Emulsion. When I first tried these products I knew my prayers to the multi-purpose – mixing goodness – exciting skincare finally – gods had been answered. Emulsion give you the chance to create your own customisable skincare products for face, hair and body. I have been trying out their bodycare and loving the results.

For my first favourite concoction I have been mixing the Body Cream Base, which is rich and buttery, with the Floral Exfoliants Add On to give me a bit of scrub, and the Sweet Dust Add On. You simple mix all together, scrub away & reveal perfectly smooth, hydrated skin that smells amazing.

I have been digging this mix because the Body Cream Base, formulated with sunflower, grapeseed, coconut and jojoba oils protects and soothes the skin as I’m exfoliating. The Floral Exfoliants Add On contains the most incredible blend of chamomile flowers, lavander, jasmine, cornsilk & marsh mallow leaf for a relaxing pampering scrub without being too harsh. And the Sweet Dust fragrance Add On mixes in a fruity fragrance of lemon, orange & red fruits, with the sophisticated blend of musk, tonka & vanilla.

To moisturise the body right after my scrub I have been reaching for a mix of the Emulsion Dry Oil base; which is a blend of apricot, hazelnut, red berry, rapeseed, & prickley pear oils, with the Super Berry Add On and a touch of the Oud Add On. I would highly recommend the Super Berry Add On from this mix. The Add On contains Guarana, Acerola Cherry, Sea Buckthorn, Cranberry and Camu Camu. This beautifully nourishing ingredients are super hydrating & antioxidant for the skin, as well as having some serious anti-ageing benefits too.
