Valentines Day Hair with Batiste Look ThreeValentines Day can be a great time to try out some new hairstyles. In this post I have created three different styles with my favourite Batiste products, for three different Valentines dates; The Date Night, The Lunch Date and The Girls Night Out.

Sexy Messy Waves

Valentines Day Hair with Batiste Look One

For a date night, what could be more beautiful than sexy messy waves? This is the style I create almost everyday, as it’s very quick and is the basis for lots of other styles. I start this style by using my ghd’s to put a loose curl in my hair. I alternate the curls, going towards my face and away, to create more texture. This is the key to getting a messy, yet pretty style. The other key part of this style is to not curl the ends of the hair, giving it an ‘undone’ feel.

After I have curled my hair all over, I used the Batiste XXL Volume Spray in the roots of my hair to add lift. I simply lift sections around my face and the crown of my head and spray the product into the roots. This product is volume in a bottle! I find that my freshly washed hair can look too slick and flat. So with a of spritz of the Batiste XXL Volume Spray my hair instantly boosts and the volume lasts all day.

I finish the style by spraying the Batiste Instant Conditioner into the lengths of my hair. This product is incredible for adding softness, hydration and smoothness to my messy waves. With frizz-prone hair, it’s important for me to make sure the lengths and ends of my locks are well conditioned to stop that unwanted frizz throughout the day. This is also a great product for refreshing day old hair, adding instant nourishment.

Cute Volumised Ponytail

Valentines Day Hair with Batiste Look Two

I find ponytails so easy for everyday, but they can get boring. So I love to find ways to make the style a little more special, especially because I’m wearing this hairstyle for a Valentines Day lunch date. I started the style by using a little bit of the Batiste Dry Shampoo in the fragrance Blush in the front of my hair. I love using Batiste Dry Shampoo to add, not only freshness, but also a touch of volume. It’s the perfect product to give your hair a bit of oomph. The fragrance Blush is a beautiful floral fresh, girly scent.

Before bringing my hair into the actual ponytail I used the Batiste XXL Plumping Powder in the sides of my hair. I often find my hair can be flat along the sides of my head when I have an updo, but this product combats that brilliantly. The Batiste XXL Plumping Powder is a little pot of volume magic! Simply shake the dry powder into the hair and rub in with fingers. You’ll notice that the product begins to plump and add thickness to the hair.

Once I had pulled the hair into the ponytail and secured with a hairband, I went back and started to gently pull on the hair around my face. This slightly loosens the style, giving you more texture on top.

Then I took a small section from the ponytail and wrapped it around its base, hiding the band. I secured this with a hair grip. This is a great trick for making a style look more polished and prettier.

I then shook a little bit of the Batiste XXL Plumping Powder into the length of the ponytail. This product makes it so easy to add volume quickly, and a tiny bit goes a long way!

Finally, I finished the style by spraying all over with the Batiste Hydrating Oil Spray. Formulated with Inca Inchi and Abyssinian oils, this is a gorgeous product for adding shine and softness. I have been addicted to products that really care for my hair recently, especially oils. But unlike most oils, which can be heavy and thick, the Hydrating Oil Spray is lightweight yet still nourishes.

Fierce Hun Bun

Valentines Day Hair with Batiste Look ThreeI have been doing this hairstyle for a while, and didn’t realise it is called the ‘hun bun’ (half-bun apparently). I think it’s the perfect look for a Girls Night. It’s fun, girly and a bit different.

After bringing the hair from just above my ear into a ponytail onto the top of my head, I sprayed in a little of the XXL Volume Spray into the hair. This product gives a great, workable volume to the hair which is perfect for making a bun.

How you create your bun is up to you. The easiest way I have found is by just twisting the hair around itself until I have the right shape, and then pinning in place. I find that I often have to do this a couple of times before I get the shape just right.

As my hair was already styled into soft waves, I didn’t need to do too much to the hair left down. You could leave the hair at the back straight, or give it a curl like I did, both ways look very pretty. I finished the style by liberally spraying the Hydrating Oil Spray into the ends of my hair. The spray gives the style a little more shine, polish and finish.
