It’s not very often I get excited about haircare. For me, shampoo and conditioners have to be something expectional to make me go “Wow!” and let’s be honest, it’s normally the expensive products that really make a lasting impression. I’m a huge fan of Bumble & Bumble products, but they are a little out of my price bracket for everyday use. So, being the beauty addict I am, I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable hair cleansing duo…
Welcome the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Shampoo and Conditioner!
I’ve been using this lovely pair for a couple of months and I’m happy to report I’ve got some great things to say. I always look for super nourishing, heavy hair products because my hair is naturally very frizzy and coarse, but recently I had felt like my hair was being weighed down by all that product. It was for that reason that I wanted to try out the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil range, as Dove promise with this product to deliver moisture to even the driest of hair, whilst keeping that lightweight, fresh feeling for longer.
I’ve found that the shampoo and conditioner strike the perfect balance for me, my hair feels clean and moisturised, but once dry has a light/airy feel without being squeaky clean or dry.
The way I like to get the best out of these products is to wash my hair with the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Shampoo as soon as I jump in the shower, then pop on a good amount of the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Conditioner whilst I wash the rest of my body, shave my legs and exfoliate. This way I find the conditioner has time to work into my hair and nourish my dry ends, without me having to wait around.
The scent of this duo is lovely, unlike the traditional Dove Creme scent, there is a warm, spicy fragrance to these products with the sweetness of a little vanilla. This warmth probably comes from the African Macadamia Oil infused into this luxurious formula.
So have you tried the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Shampoo and Conditioner? Or anything else from the range? Let me know in the comments below! I want to try the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment or the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Balm next!

I usually find Dove to be pretty silicone heavy in formula. Does this one contain a lot of silicones?

I know it does contain silicones, but it doesn’t feel too bad on the hair, it’s getting harder and harder to find affordable haircare without silicones! I’d always go for a product without them, but I was trying to be a little better with my spending this month oops!

Yes, finding good hair care at affordable prices is really difficult.
My hair has been feeling so dry and frizzy lately, I’ll have to give this a go.

My hair hasn’t been in the best condition lately, yet I hate spending a fortune of haircare so this sound like the hair duo for me. Definitely need to look out for these on my next shopping trip x
Beauty with charm
It’s so tough, haircare can get pretty pricey between shampoos, treatments, serums, masks, styling products – the list is endless!
Let me know if you try it out, I’d love to know what you think!

This sounds like a great product and I have yet to find my holy grail/staple shampoo and conditioner so maybe this will be the one!
