Made From Beauty Maybelline Baby Lips Winter Delight in Hot Cocoa

Made From Beauty me wearing Maybelline Baby Lips Winter Delight in Hot CocoaTo be honest, I haven’t been able to really get behind the whole Baby Lips/Baby Skin ranges from Maybelline. I’ve tried a few in the past and been really disappointed with their performance, so I can’t explain why I decided to pick up the Maybelline Baby Lips Winter Delight in Hot Cocoa. Maybe it was the cute packaging (come on…there’s even mittens on the tube) but, at only £2.99 I couldn’t see the harm in giving these budget balms one more go.

Maybelline market their Baby Lips range as giving long lasting moisture, at an affordable price, with a cute, subtle tint. And…I’d have to agree really! The Baby Lips Winter Delight in Hot Cocoa actually does moisturise my lips for a good few hours – sure it’s not a patch on my beloved NUXE Rêve de Miel Honey Lip Balm – but this is a very different product. Think of this little chapstick as a coating for the lips to protect against the cold, rather than an extreme moisture giver.

I was also shocked to find I loved the tint this balm gave. In the tube I didn’t think it would give my lips much colour, and whilst the coverage is sheer, it does in fact give a pretty, peachy nude look to the pout.

The Maybelline Baby Lips Winter Delight in Hot Cocoa might not be ground breaking but I have loved using it this winter and its made me think twice about the Baby Lips range. Have you tried any of the Baby Lips products before? Let me know in the comments below!
