A Weekend In Outfits

I’ve been using this weekend to catch up on lots of blog work for Made From Beauty; theres also been a little retail therapy thrown in for good measure, so I thought I’d share with you what I’ve been wearing.

On Saturday, Josh and I took the day to have a walk round town and a nosey in all the shops. I wanted to be comfy, warm and stylish, so I went for jeans and a jumper.

I picked up this jumper from New Look recently and although it is a little big for me, I’ve been loving it. It’s actually the first striped thing in my wardrobe for a long time. Theres something about stripes teamed with a red lip – I just love it! FYI: The lip is the Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick in Craving Coral.

My New Look black skinny jeans are a no brainer, as they are so comfy. I went for my River Island Real Leather Jacket for extra warmth; I’ve had this baby for three years and it’s still going strong – classic, stylish and easy.

My hat was an eBay find a couple of years ago. I know it was around the £10 mark as it’s real wool, but I’ll find you guys something similar here.

Hallelujah for Autumn, as it’s finally ankle boot season! So my on feet are my Urban Outfitters black/grey booties that give me a little height whilst still being stupidly comfy.

On to today; this morning I woke up and jumped into my comfies for a day of blogging ahead of me. I was recently gifted this fantastic hoodie from Workwear Express, as my blogging uniform. When Workwear Express contacted me they asked me what I wanted to be as a child, as regular readers may know (I touched on it in this post) I wanted to be a vet as a small child. I have always been a huge animal lover; I can even remember spending hours playing ‘Animal Doctor’ a PC game my mum brought me for Christmas one year practising for my future profession. Although my dreams of nursing cats and dogs back to health didn’t exactly come true, I am a blogger.

Being a blogger is something I couldn’t have dreamed of growing up – as it didn’t really exist – and nothing could have prepared me for the huge adventure starting Made From Beauty has been. So really, this hoodie doesn’t half read true for me!

The guys at Workwear Express even sent along this cute travel mug (complete with Tea Pigs Everyday Brew teabags!) some notebooks and the sweetest Hetty Hoover for my desk to get me set up for a day of blogging.

So this morning I went easy peasy, with leggings, my warm, snuggly hoodie, Converse and my huge Parfois Extra July Tote bag to pack all my blogging essentials into and set myself up in a local cafe for the morning.

Later this evening, Josh and I are heading out to a local pub to get some grub, so I’ve gone slightly more formal, but still comfy and warm. My sleeveless blazer is from ASOS and I love it, I’ve been popping it onto the top of almost every outfit recently. My jumper is a huge oversized number from M&Co, my bag is from Primark recently, my jeans and my pointed flats are also from ASOS.
