DSC_0006I’m back with the beauty posts guys! I’m so so sorry guys that I’ve been a little off the radar these past couple of weeks, life basically got in the way! I’ve been getting into the swing of things at my new job, attending blogging events, and been ill for what seems like a whole month!

But there’s no stopping me, and a couple of weekends ago I flew to Leeds to attend the awards ceremony for the Bloggers Blog Awards. If you want to catch my post all about the event, then check it out here! To be honest, flying is always a bit of a headache in the beauty department. I had to decant all my beauty products into little pots to take on the plane with me.

So when I saw these cute pre-packed-plane-friendly-single-use-masks from Origins I couldn’t help myself!

I hadn’t actually tried the Out of Trouble mask before, but after being such a fan of the brands Clear Improvement and Drink Up formulas, I thought giving this mask a whirl would be a good idea.

I was also drawn in by the ingredients of these little pods. The mask includes Zinc Oxide and Sulfur to help fight blemishes as well as Camphor to calm the skin.

My skin hasn’t been in the best of shape recently, between being ill, flying, stress and the change in weather; there’s been not a lot of glow and a few too many spots popping up for my liking.

I’m pleased to say that the Out of Trouble mask is exactly what I needed. After first use, my skin was smoother, clearer and ready for action. There’s something special about putting your makeup on after doing a mask, and I really appreciated this before going to a big event. I’d normally do a mask before bed and load up on the skincare afterwards, but these little pods made it so convenient I thought I’d treat myself to a midday pamper.

The only downside? Well, I guess it’s not technically a downside, but I actually found I had leftover product after applying a thick layer all over my face. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but with the pods I didn’t want to waste any product. I took the rest of the product down my neck and onto my chest, which was again a nice pamper but maybe a little unnecessary.

Overall, I’m really impressed with both the mask itself and the handy packaging. The full size Out of Trouble mask goes for £23.00 for 100ml and these pods are £5.00 for 20ml. I think they are a great way to travel with skincare or try out the masks. Also, if you have girly friends over for Christmas, why not make your own crackers and pop a pod in each? (Yes I’m already in Christmas mode!)
