Made From Beauty - The L'Oreal SuperlinersThere’s one makeup item that I would never buy from highend brand; liquid eyeliner. There are so many great drugstore options out there, perfect in formula and easy to use. If your a regular reader of Made From Beauty then you’ll know I love me some highend makeup, but I just don’t see the sense in paying a lot of money for something that’s essentially a Sharpie for your face.

So today I’ve got one range of liquid liners, from the drugstore, I go back to time and time again: the L’Oreal Superliners.

When it comes to ease of use nothing really beats a pen liner for me. Just pop off the cap and get scribbling a cat eye – easy peasy! I love the Loreal Superliners so much that I’ve got three shades of their Superliner Perfect Slim pens.

The black is my everyday option, with its precision felt tip allowing you to get a black line close to the lashes, as well as create that all important sharp cat eye wing.

I’ve also experimented with their blue shade for a night time look. You can see me trying out this post.

And more recently I’ve picked up the green shade, for something a little different to black. I was surprised to find small flecks of silver glitter in the liner, and would probably prefer it if it wasn’t there. That being said, it doesn’t really translate on to the eye anyway so it’s not that much of a big deal.
Made From Beauty - The L'Oreal Superliners - Black Lacquer
I also picked up the brands  Waterproof Super Liner in Black Lacquer. And let me tell you; if your looking for a budge-proof, long lasting eyeliner formula then look no further! After wearing this for a full eight hours, my cat eye was as perfect as the minute I applied it! And when Loreal say waterproof, they really mean waterproof! Even my Clinique Take The Day Off Balm Cleanser had trouble taking this off, so I would recommend a duo-phase oil based eye makeup remover for its removal (one like I mentioned in this post would do the trick).
In a perfect world I would use the the Loreal Waterproof Super Liner in Black Lacquer for the main bulk of my liner, then the Perfect Slim Superliner to create a precise flick, as its nib is smaller and stiffer, giving you more control – but then I guess I’m just high maintainance!
Have you ever tried the Loreal Superliners? Or perhaps you rate a highend liner highly and think I should try it? Let me know in the comments!
