Loving Blue Liner

After the popularity of my most recent makeup picture on my Instagram I thought I’d share with you how I achieved the look!

I love a good liquid liner! There’s not many girls who don’t. But we’re all used to the traditional, black liquids or gels. After mastering my technique for the winged liner (you can see my tips and tricks on liner here), I wanted to try out a new colour, something a little unexpected.So when I saw that my favourite L’Oreal Super Liner came in a dark blue shade, aptly named ‘Blue’, I thought I’d give it a go. Now I know I said there would be some variation away from L’Oreal products, but they are really pulling it out of the bag recently!

When I was having a look around the isles of Boots for a blue liner, most available were navy blue. But that wasn’t really the look I was going for, I wanted something that was very obviously blue, not just a hint of colour. So I decided to try this look out in a slightly more dramatic way than I normally would, as the blue is a little brighter than a navy blue. I popped on some dramatic fake eyelashes with the liner; the new Eylure Exaggerate No 141’s.

These lashes are really fluttery and wispy, with a thin, clear lashband meaning they were perfect to use with the blue liner as I didn’t need a blue line to hide the lashband.

I gave the crease of my eye a little definition with MAC’s Charcoal Brown and Omega shadows.
