The Look Fantastic Beauty in Wonderland Advent Calendar

I know it’s only just October, but today I’m bringing you a bit of a Christmassy post. With only 3 paydays till Christmas, gift guides brewing and the sound of jiggle bells in the distance; today I’m sharing with you my first beauty advent calendar! My favourite beauty retailer; Look Fantastic has teamed up with 25 brands to bring you Beauty in Wonderland. Inside each little box you’ll find a mixture of miniature and full sized products, spanning skincare, haircare, makeup and beauty tools.

There is no doubt that the Look Fantastic Beauty in Wonderland Advent Calendar is one of the best value calendars I have seen being released this Christmas. With a value of over £300, this box of wonders will be on sale from the 10th October for £79. Not only do you receive the magical set of products inside, but they are also all housed in this breath-taking, wonderland themed set of drawers. Once the countdown is over, there is no reason why you couldn’t use these as makeup storage; there is even a fold out mirror on top.

Beauty in Wonderland gets off to a great start, with days 1-5 having a great mix of full sized and deluxe sample sizes. I’m excited to wear the beautiful Illamasqua Lava Lips Marbled Lipstick in Vixen during the party season, and pairing it with dramatic winged liner created with the Ciate London Fierce Flicks Eyeliner. Then for looking after winter skin, the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is an amazing addition to anyone’s skincare routine. For keeping my hair and scalp healthy and happy the Grow Gorgeous Scalp Detox has got me covered. Then there is the Balance Me Micellar Cleansing Water in a handy mini size for staying with friends and family over the Christmas period.

The days 6-10 contain some of my favourite products in the calendar; the This Works In Transit moisturises and primes the skin in one. The James Read H20 Illuminating Tan Mist for Body ensures you’ll have that all important glow, even in the depths of winter. Redken make easy hair within everyone’s reach with their deluxe sample size of the No Blow Dry Cream. To brighten the under-eyes after too many late nights on the mulled wine, you’ll be thankful to find the Bellapiere Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder in the calendar. And if skin is really in need of a rescue treatment during the holidays, then the Oskia Renaissance Mask is just the ticket.

Days 11-15 are some of the most exciting boxes to open in the Beauty In Wonderland calendar. First up is the delectable Molton Brown GingerLily Body Wash, a nourishing fragrant product I can’t wait to use. The Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet is already one of my favourite products in my routine, so I was thrilled to find a mini size inside box number 12. Another one of my go-to products is the Moroccanoil Treatment (as I mentioned in THIS post) and I know, considering how little you need, this miniature size will last me a long time, so very happy to have this rich oil back in my haircare routine. Has there ever been a product more wonderfully named than the Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial? I think not; the perfect lazy girl’s skin rescue. I was actually very happy to find the Lookfantastic Contour Brush in the calendar, as I said on my Instagram recently I’ve been on the hunt for some more brushes and this one is soft and great for blending contour and bronzer.

Days 16-20 also hold some exquisite beauty treats. Starting with the ModelCo Retractable Brow Pencil in light/medium; I’m really looking forward to trying more from ModelCo, it’s a brand I haven’t explored much! Then day 17 has probably the most beautiful miniature, the Omorovicza Limited Edition Hungarian Mist. How stunning is this bottle? I love the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist so its great that I now have a bottle I can pop in my handbag for a hit of hydration throughout the day. There is also a full sized Dr Lipp Miracle Lip Balm to pack into your handbag in day 18. Another product I’ll be adding to my bag is the ultra nourishing Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy. Then, another skin treat; the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This cream has become one of my favourites recently so ecstatic to find a miniature waiting for me in the advent calendar.

Just in case you didn’t think this calendar could get any better, the final 5 days will not disappoint! First off there is a nifty Magnitone Wipeout! Microfibre Cleansing Cloth guaranteed to remove any last traces of makeup. Then there is the High Definition Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette. I mean, when have you ever seen a full sized eyeshadow palette in a beauty advent calendar!? Then to finish off your eye look, the team at Look Fantastic have also included a Doucce Maxlash Mascara. For a final skincare pick me up, you’ll find the Dr Botanicals Superfood Facial Oil. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I have been loving this product for a little while now, so it’s brilliant to add one into my back-ups. Then the grand finale; on day 25 the LF team have treated us all to a proper Christmas gift! Inside the last box is a cute Pixi Hello Glow! 3-piece Gift Set. The set includes the brand’s infamous LipLift Max gloss, the Beauty Blush Duo and Glow Booster Liquid Illuminator – talk about ending on a high note!
