Haircare OverviewMy hair is not my best friend, and more often than not I am having a bad hair day. It’s frustrating because I try very hard to keep my hair in good condition, but some days there really is no curbing the fizzy curls that call my head home. There are however, a few products I have been using recently that seem to have really calmed things down and got my hair in tip-top condition. I have recently been converted to adding oil to my hair, before a few months ago it wasn’t something that I regularly done, fast forward to today and I don’t think a day goes by without my adding a drop of two. Here is where I should say that I have quite coarse, thick hair, so it can take three days of adding oil to the mid lengths and ends. If you have fine hair, you may want to rethink the oil situation, or try a dry oil like the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil (read my post on it here). But for me, for the moment, I add a large pump full of this Eden Organic Care Argan Oil into towel-dried hair before adding in… Redken Extreme Anti-Snap. I picked this product up a months ago, after one dyeing disaster too far and my hair was brittle and dry. I had heard mixed reviews about it for other bloggers, but as I had the chance to pick this up on sale I thought I’d give it a whirl! I’ll be honest, I like it, don’t love it, but like it. After using it alongside the other products in this post my hair has become stronger and less likely to snap, but is it solely this product? Who knows! And the last step in my current hair care routine is to pop in a little of the VO5 Smoothly Does It Heat Protection Serum to wet hair. This is a silicone based product, that may not have any lasting effect on the hair but does make it smoother instantly. I have been a fan of this serum for years, quickly defizzing hair and adding tons of shine. I know there has been lots of research that claims silicone isn’t very good for the hair, but I don’t feel too bad using it considering I use the Eden Organic Care Argan Oil first. All together these products are really making a huge difference to my hair, it’s grown strong and healthy with tons of shine. So what do you think? What other products would you recommend for fizzy, dry hair?
