What I Got for My Birthday 2016

If you saw my post on Sunday, you’ll know it was my birthday this past weekend and I was very lucky to receive some beautiful presents from my friends and family. Today I’m going to share some of the gorgeous gifts currently making their home in my makeup collection and home.

From my mum I received a beautiful collection of Tarte makeup. In these boxes there are eyeshadows, blushes, skincare, eye liners, lip products galore so I can’t wait to do a full review on these sets soon on Made From Beauty – so keep your eyes peeled!

From Josh I received some beautiful makeup items I’ve been lusting after for a long time… first up are the Hourglass goodies! I couldn’t believe it when I opened up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This product has been everywhere in the beauty world for a very long time and I can see why, it is absolutely stunning, again a full review will be coming soon! He also gifted me a product from the brand that I’ve been banging on about for years, the Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Riviera. I can’t wait to wear this lip shade with a tan when the sun comes back to the UK.

Josh also brought me something I put on my christmas wishlist, the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Amazing Grace, a beautiful dusty rose, tawny shade. Full review & swatch coming soon I promise!

Other makeup wise, I was also lucky enough to be given the OPI Hello Kitty Nail Polish in Lets Be Friends and the Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London Smoked Out Gel Kohl Liner in Black.

Josh was also amazing and splashed out on a Woodsage and Sea Salt candle by Jo Malone (which I’m convinced is also a present for him as he loves the scent).

Also on the splashing out side of things, my mum very very kindly brought me a piece of tech I’ve been eyeing up for a while: the Fitbit Flex. I’m trying real hard to improve my fitness at the moment and loose a little weight so I can’t wait to make full use of this gadget! She also brought me a huge iPhone cable, mainly because I keep breaking mine, a very sensible present but one that was very much appreciated!

Josh’s family also brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers that were delivered to my door – can a girl feel any more special?!

My friends brought me lots of naughty drinking presents for the party I had on Saturday, balloons, lots of cards and some very personal presents that I’m eternally grateful for! Other family members also very generously gave me money which is going towards my next adventure (hopefully some exciting trips and life changes happening this year).

I have of course said this many times in person, but thank you to everyone who gave me such wonderful gifts, spent time with me around my birthday, took me out to dinner and spoilt me absolutely rotten, so much love for you all!
