Made From Beauty B. Makeup Brush SetThere have been a lot of beauty sets out this year, with Christmas sets still being prominent the shops and I’ve been on the look out for any brush sets that were good value. Although my makeup collection is bursting at the seams, I have quite a small brush collection, so I’m always looking to expand them.

I’ve heard a lot recently about the B. Makeup collection of brushes at Superdrug, so when I saw this set in the shops for £10 I thought they’d be worth a go.

The set includes the B. Blush and Contour brush, the B. Fan brush and the B. Finishing Brush. All are made from soft synthetic bristles to allow them to apply and buff out product easily and smoothly. Superdrug say the brushes are hand crafted to give makeup artistry results at home, so I couldn’t wait to put them to the test.

Overall, in the couple of weeks I’ve had them, I’ve been impressed with the quality and durability so far. If you’re a bit of a beauty buff, you’ll know the success that Real Techniques has had over the past few years with bringing brilliant value for money to the affordable brush market and I’d day that the B. Makeup line is very comparable to their range.

The bristles, although not perfectly cut, are very soft and apply product well, allow you to blend soft powders like a dream and feel lovely to use. The handles are a good weighty wood, in a chic grey finish – so all in all if say these brushes feel more expensive than they are.

My favourite of the set has to be the B. Blush and Contour Brush. I’m having to stop myself from using this for every product as it works so well for contour, adding blush, powdering and even blending foundation across that face.

I’ve also been using the B. Finishing Brush on the regular, its nice for blending a little translucent powder over the face, or making sure your bronzer is smooth and defused.

Personally I find the B. Fan Brush too thick for highlighting the high points of the face, however it is very soft and ‘swishy’ (technical term) so I’ve still been enjoying it to use to knock off any excess powder from my face when I’m done making myself up, so not a complete fail either!

Have you tried any of the B. Makeup brushes? If so, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
