Made From Beauty Turns One

I’m so excited to announce that this week Made From Beauty is officially one year old! It’s been a long old year in some ways, and yet in other ways, like how quickly this blog has grown, its flown by.

I remember being terrified posting my first post (which you can check out here) and since then, I’ve hopefully started to make the kind of space people like and began to create the content I love.

Readers

In my first year I’m delighted to say I’ve managed to have some loyal, wonderful readers who have supported me and enjoyed my content in this blogs early months. I’ve been surprised with not only the amount (Made From Beauty has had over 14,000 readers this past year) but the type of readers I’ve chatted to. Sometimes I’ll be stopped in the local supermarket by people who’s read my blog – that feeling is amazing! People at work, friends of friends, people in the pub; its an exciting mix of people and its you that I cherish most.

Comments

Some of the comments I have received over the past year have made me cry, laugh out loud, warmed my heart and started conversations I’m so happy to have come from my blog. I love to hear your thoughts, be it in the comments, on Facebook or Twitter – so keep them coming guys, they rock!

Content

Regular readers will know that Made From Beauty started as a daily blog. Although I would love to continue to post daily, I’ve found it harder and harder to jungle with work, blog events, and time away from blogging. So I have taken the decision to post every other day during the week and on both Saturday and Sunday if possible from now on. This was tough, it kind of felt like defeat, but I’d rather give you great content a little less regularly than half arsed posts everyday.

There will always be new things on Twitter and Instagram each and everyday – so I’m not giving up that easily!

Brands

I’m hoping in the year of 2016 to work with more brands so that I’m able to give you better content with each post. In my first year of blogging I worked with some amazing brands including BareMinerals, Vita Coco, 2True and Homesense, which was both mind blowing and exciting.

Style

You guys have been loving my style posts, if it be this Primark post, or my recent F&F post, so I’m happy to keep popping up a little bit of style here and there. No need to panic beauty lovers, Made From Beauty will continue to be focused on beauty (its in the title, kinda stuck with it…)
