Beauty complex Food Based Supplements from Link Nutrition Review

As someone who loves cooking, I try to get all of my vitamins and minerals from the food I eat. But, recently I’ve been eating on the go a little more & eating way too many ‘beige’ meals (you know, the ones full of yummy carbs but lacking any colourful veg) in one week. Being a bit lazy with my diet, I had definitely seen a huge change in the quality of my nails & skin, as well as the lack of natural shine in my hair.

Whilst seeing this change in my body was exactly the thing I needed to change things about my diet; I also thought now was the time to time out a beauty-boosting supplement to help kick start my way back to natural beauty. After lots of research, I decided the type of supplement I wanted to try would be a ‘food-based’ one. In the past I had been very dubious of vitamins. Not only did I think I would always be able to get everything my body needs simply from my diet, but also I was convinced most don’t actually absorb into the body. Turns out – I was sort of right about one of those things; the body gets very little benefit from synthetic vitamins. Which is why ‘food based’ vitamins, like the one’s I have been trying, are a better way to go.

So, let’s get the science-y bit about the supplements I have been trying out the way…

The Link Nutrition Beauty Food Supplements contain a mix of naturally occurring nutrient components to help ensure your body is about to absorb & benefit from the ingredients. These include glycoproteins, lipids, bioflavonoids & vitamins., which work together to help your body make the most of the nutrients in the capsules.

Ingredients wise, let me just let you know what the website says, because the guys over at Link Nutrition can say it a lot better than I can:

  • “Bamboo extract provides silica, which works with collagen to keep skin taut and provide a defence against the visible signs of ageing.”
  • vitamin E incorporated in yellow pea
  • Free from added fillers, binders & excipients
  • Marine collagen (from Tilapia fish)
  • Free from gluten, soya and preservatives
  • “Chaga mushrooms are known in the mushroom family for their high levels of SOD (superoxide dismutase), betulinic acid, phytochemicals and polyphenols; micronutrients that fight damage on a cellular level.”
  • Vitamin C and bioflavonoids incorporated in citrus pulp
  • Contains no live yeast at the time of manufacture

So how have I got on with the supplements? Well, I kept a very strict diary during my 60 day trial of taking Beauty to make sure I kept note of any changes…

Around 1 week into taking the food supplements, I noticed a difference in my nails. I had been having an issue with keeping nail polish on my nails, as they were so dry & flakey. Yet one week into this experiment I noticed that my manicure was lasting much better & my nails were generally stronger.

Around 1 week & 4 days in I noticed that my hair was shiner than it was before I started taking the supplements. At the time I wasn’t sure if this was due to a different hair mask than usual (the problem being a beauty blogger). So I made another note at around 2 weeks & 3 days that my hair was absolutely shinier & stronger than before.

Skin wise, I must admit, my skin is better than it was before I started taking the supplements. It is generally more hydrated & I have been having less breakouts. Can I say this is definitely due to the supplements? Maybe not. As I try lots of new products, it might be due to a change in skincare. But one things for certain; they haven’t made my skin worse.

One a day-to-day basis, I have been happy taking the supplements. They can be taken with or without food, two a day. I didn’t find the capsules themselves too big to swallow or to have too much of a taste at all. I take mine at breakfast (that way I find I don’t miss a day as I can remember to take tablets in the morning).

Overall, I am happy with the benefits I have seen from taking Beauty complex Food Based Supplements from Link Nutrition. They seem to be just the boost I needed to help my vitamin intake during this busy point in my life. Have you ever tried any beauty targeted supplements? If so, did you see good results? I would love to hear your stories in the comments below!
