Jewellery is having a bit of a moment right now. If you follow women like Lizzy Hadfield, Emma Hoareau or Emma Hill (all my current favourites) on Instagram, then I’m sure you would have developed a full blown crush on dainty gold chains & ‘huggie’ earrings just like I have. So when the great people at Jewellery Box got in touch to ask me if I would like to try out some of their pieces I knew it was my chance to create that Insta-worthy look, but in my own signature way.

The first piece I went for was this cute Evil Eye necklace. The necklace is Gold Dipped Sterling Silver on an 18 inch chain and comes in at a ridiculously affordable £7.85. Yes, you read right – under £8 for this beautiful, dainty piece. I have been after a simple Evil Eye necklace for the longest time. I’ve seen quite a lot of fussy, busy designs on the highstreet, but this one from Jewellery Box is what I would call ‘grown-up’.

The next piece I tried out was the Rounded Figaro 24 inch chain. This chain, just like the Evil Eye necklace, is also Gold Dipped Sterling Silver. I have always been a big fan of wearing chains without charms, but have a bit of interest in their shape and style. The Round Figaro chain is great because it adds a subtle detail to your outfit, without being too much; so perfect for layering with other necklaces like I have in this post.

I also picked up the 9ct Gold Miraculous Mary Medal pendant & added it to a chain I had at home. When I unboxed my order, I was a little worried that this pendant would be too small for what I wanted, however it’s actually just right. Any bigger and I think it would look like I was wearing this pendant for real religious reasons (which I’m not, I just liked how it looked), and then I also think it would have been too big to layer with other pieces. The Miraculous Mary Medal pendant, being solid 9ct Gold, is less of a bright shade of gold than the gold dipped pieces I have tried, which I actually prefer.

Finally, I picked up some of Jewellery Box’s Gold Dipped Sterling Silver 10mm Hoop Sleeper Earrings. As I said at the start of this post, I have been crazy about the jewellery styles I have seen on Instagram recently, which is what inspired me picking these earrings from the site. I have seen lots of people wearing ‘huggie’ earrings & loved the look, so I thought I’d try these tiny, little hoops to see if I could dupe it. Whilst the 10mm Hoop Sleeper Earrings aren’t quite the same as a Maria Tash huggie earring, for just £3.85, they certainly give off the right vibe!

From the pieces I have tried, I think Jewellery Box has some ridiculously affordable pieces which let you achieve a much more expensive look. I feel like I’ve nailed a set of necklaces & a pair of earrings that I want to wear everyday! Have you tried anything from Jewellery Box before? Let me know in the comments below!
