Sunday mornings have become a bit of a pampering time for me. I usually do a face mask, paint my nails, and take on the mammoth task of washing, drying and styling my hair.
Sunday’s were made for lounging about in your pajamas but when those pajamas normally consist of years old sweatpants and a ratty t-shirt, it can be hard to feel your best knocking around the house. So I was on the hunt for a dressing gown that I could pop on during these pamper seasons to really get into the mood for feeling lovely.
I also wanted something lighter, as my big cosy dressing gown I recently brought from Primark (and chatted all about in this post – I love my pyjamas clearly), gets a little too much when I’m trying to fight my hair into some sort of smooth(ish) style.
Firstly, does anyone know how hard it is to find a cute dressing gown under £40 in the middle of winter? Well, let me tell you, it’s tough. I searched many highstreet shops before heading over to F&F online. As Tesco’s own brand of clothing, F&F wasn’t top of my list for something girly yet sophisticated. I honestly don’t normally shop at supermarket clothing brands all that often so was surprised when my search came up with this lovely number. I also really didn’t expect to find something that looks as gorgeous as this at only £8.00 in the sale section!
I’m in love with the colours of this dressing gown; white, grey, lilac and black. The print is just what I was looking for, something feminine but grown up (I seriously didn’t want to be parading about in a star or paw print gown).
The sleeves are a kimono style, very open and airy so I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this right through the summer too. I also love the touch of lace around the cuffs, simple and elegant, hinting at sexy but not OTT.
