Made From Beauty The Quickies Eye Makeup Remover Pads and Tanning WipesWhen the people at Quickies asked me if I fancied giving some of their products a go, I wasn’t sure how much I’d be able to write about them, I mean, they are just wipes right? Wrong!

If you saw my recent post ‘I’m So Hot I Brought Face Wipes‘ you’ll know that I’m not a fan of using wipes as part of your skincare routine. But, as I mentioned, I see no issue with using them for eye makeup removal.

So the brands Eye Makeup Remover Pads have become a nice addition to my dressing table recently. Enriched with flower extract and moisturising oils, these little pads manage to cleanse the eye area without irritation (they are fragrance and colour free – bonus).

To remove mascara there needs to be a little rubbing, but nothing crazy. To remove eyeliner and eye shadow – these will be your new best friend! One swipe and all traces of colour and/or glitter is gone.

Also, if you’re someone who likes to try out lots of different looks, or regularly make a complete hash-up of your eyeshadow, you might want to pick up a pack. I’ve been keeping these next to my cotton pads on my dressing table for an easy and quick mistake remover!

There’s no doubt that these would come in very hand if you’re travelling. Are you one of those people who couldn’t board a plane without mascara but wants to remove your makeup once you’re on the flight? A little pack of these would sort that situation out perfectly, without the need for a full face wipe.

One product I wasn’t expecting to like so much was the brands Tanning Wipes. The idea of tan in a wipe? Now that doesn’t sound very foolproof does it?

I went for my legs on first application, thinking I could always wear jeans if things went drastically bad.

The application was pretty good, I simply pulled out one wipe for each leg, smoothed it over in long strokes, then washed my hands afterwards. I must admit, there isn’t anything glamorous about using wipes on your legs. Mind you, I guess it beats using a tanning mitt?

Imagine my surprise when I woke up the next morning to find my pins subtly bronzed and looking great!

There was slight patchiness around my ankles but I think this is due to the speed I applied the product in. Theres something about using a wipe that makes me move at the speed of light. Next time I try these out I’ll just be more careful about how I apply.

My legs were slightly dry, but that is something I would expect from most fake tans anyway, so not really something that put me off.

One thing is for sure: I was so impressed with the colour.

I was expecting orange, but ended up with just subtly bronzed. Very impressed!

If you’re looking for a deep colour, then you would do better to go down the traditional fake tanning route. But for something easy, quick and convenient – well these really aren’t bad! They are also so suitcase friendly! Perfect for topping up your tan when on holiday.

Quickies can be found in many highstreet stores around the UK, including most Superdrug stores!
