When the nice people at 2true Cosmetics contacted me and asked if I’d like to try out some of their new products, I couldn’t emoji heart quickly enough back to them! We all love an affordable makeup brand, so I couldn’t wait to review some of the products here on Made From Beauty!
Now, I’ll be honest, 2true isn’t a brand I regularly shop at. In fact, apart from one their powders and their glitter eyeliner (halloween) I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything else out from the brand. I guess it’s because I get a bit overwhelmed in my local Superdrug, and panic buy anything from better know (and more expensive) brands like Rimmel and L’Oreal.
With new formulations and packaging on the horizon, I have a feeling 2true will be a brand we’ll be hearing more and more from in the coming years.
Now they sent me a bundle, so lets get down to business! Starting at the base…
2true Pro BB Beautiful BB Cream – £4.99
A super-dooper, blendable, easy base? Count me in! I’ve tried out a lot of different BB creams in the past year and always been a little disappointed – not with this one! I was so surprised, as base products can be difficult to get right as such a low price point, but I love this product. Delivering on its claims to smooth skin surface, even out skintone, hydrate, brighten and protect. 2true say this product also ‘mattifies’ but I didn’t find that, for me the finish was dewy and luminous, which I prefer over the matte look, so thats great for me!
2true Pro Bright Touch Concealer – £4.99
I was a little let down by the Bright Touch Concealer, although a nice blendable texture, drying to a demi-matte finish, it didn’t provide very much coverage. It is very brightening though! So the way I’ll be using this product is down the centre of the nose, under the eyes, and in the centre of the forehead as a highlight.
2true Expert Eyebrow Pencil – £1.99
Are you ready to be blown away by a £1.99 brow pencil? No? I wasn’t either! When I first swatched this pencil, I was a little disheartened because it seemed far too warm to even work in the brows (you want a cooler tone brown for a natural look). But I tried it out anyway and boy! This is awesome! It doesn’t seem anywhere near as warm when you actually apply it, and the waxy, hard formula makes it super easy to draw in little brow hairs!
2true All Over Natural Bronzing Powder in Shimmer Bronze – £2.29
I was kind of disappointed by this product I’m afraid. I found the colour to be too red/pink, it was hard to blend, powdery (sending little flecks of glitter all over me). Sorry 2true, looks like this one still needs some work!
2true WOW Color for Eyes in Amethyst – £2.99
Trying out colour can be daunting, and sometimes if I want to try a look, I don’t really want to shell out too much on a product. But if I could try out a look for only £2.99, I’m pretty sure I’d be a bit more adventurous with my colour choice more often. The WOW Color for Eyes Crayons allow you to do just that! 2true sent me this stunning Amethyst; scribble across the lids and blend with your fingers, or smudge into the bottom lash line like I have in the makeup look I created!
2true Eyeliner Pro Tech – £4.49
So this product could very possibly be the star of the show! Deep black, matte liner, deposited through a fine nib for precise liner application – everything I’ve been looking for! I have worn this three days in a row now, can you tell I love it?
2true Pro Flash Eyes Mascara – £2.99
No wait…this one is the star of the show! Oh I can’t choose! Full, extra long lashes that are oh so black – this is my kind of mascara! I don’t really know what else to say! There’s no flaking, it holds a curl…come on for £2.99 you know you wanna try it!
2true 8hr Power Lip Colour – £4.99
I’m afraid this product was a bit of a mistake, liquid lipsticks are such a difficult thing to get right, even highend brands often fail at it. So it’s not surprising that the 2true version isn’t the best product on the market. I found the formula to be a little sticky, but it was the glitter – whats with the blue glitter?
2true WOW Gloss for Lips Pencil – £2.99
A lip product I do really like from 2true is the WOW Gloss for Lips Pencil though. Ultra glossy, comfortable colour that feels weightless and easy, this one will be making it into my handbag very soon! There is glitter again, but fine enough to not bother me, and it makes lips look plumper!
2true Fast Dry Colour Quick Nail Polish – £1.99
Move over Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paints, there are some new quick drying nail colours at the drugstore! I was bowled over by these, quick drying, glossy, gel-like varnishes that apply quickly and easily. Why haven’t I heard of these before!?
And here’s a quick peek at the makeup look I came up with these products:
So have you tried any 2true products? If so what did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

This is my first time ever hearing about this brand. I’m sorta eyeing that BB cream, I really want to test it out, and that gorgeous amethyst eyeliner!

Great honest review, the eye make-up looks lovely! I like the look of the lip pencil too, I can’t say this is a brand I’ve heard of but was an interesting read :)
