I love a spot of online shopping, who doesn’t? I picked up a few bits from FeelUnique.com recently, mainly things I actually need. ‘Need’ used in the loosest term possibly by the way. I feel quite proud of myself, I was pretty restrained, wanna take a look?
My skins been having a bit of a freak out recently. Stress, worry and late nights mainly spent browsing the Internet, applying for jobs, have all taken their tool. So I wanted something that could get my skin back on track, it’s blemish central on my face right now! So I went back to one of my old faithfuls, the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm.
My skins in need of a good cleanse, so this alongside products such as the Origins Clear Improvement Mask will hopefully do the trick. I used this cleansing balm a couple of years ago and loved it. It dissolves makeup, cleans skin and moisturises without overloading my face – just what the doctor ordered! So I can’t wait to work this into my skincare routine, and hopefully things will be looking a little clearer soon.
The next item I picked up was down to another issue I’m dealing with at the moment, dry hands. I was in the market for a hand cream that could help sort out my dry cuticles and tight skin on the backs of my hands.
So on my Mums recommendation, I ordered a tube of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. My mum suffers with psoriasis, particularly on her hands. After using this cream for several months she’s found her skin to be much softer, with less cracking and all round better! Now, thankfully, I don’t have a skin condition such as psoriasis, but my hands have been getting dryer and dryer recently. I’ve been using the Soap and Glory Hand Food, as I mentioned in this post, but that just hasn’t been cutting it. Hears hoping the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream will fair better!
The final item I purchased was something I’ve been meaning to pop into my basket for a while; a body brush.
I have this romantic idea of dry body brushing, probably due to Tati‘s regular ravings, that within a few months I’ll have baby soft skin all over my body. And baby soft is certainly something I’m willing to put in a little extra effort to achieve! Feel Unique’s selection of affordable body brushes isn’t exactly extensive, so in the end I went for this Skin Brush by The Organic Pharmacy. I’m not planning on using the long handle, but rather using the strap to help hold the brush when using it on my dry skin. Rubbing all over the body in circular motions, towards the heart, is apparently the road to supple, soft, glowing skin on legs, arms, tum and bum. So I’m excited to give this a whirl, I’ll keep you updated. Maybe not on the bum bit, I’ll keep that to myself!
I don’t think I done too badly, only three items. I’m counting the pennies at the moment, but when I’m a bit more flush I’ve got a feeling FeelUnique.com will have to watch out! What about you guys, have you been beauty shopping recently?

I ordered my Tanya Burr lip glosses from there and shipping was reasonable seeing as I live in the US. I will have to try the First Aid beauty though. You have a lovely day too! x :)

You’re completely right! I’m pretty sure within a couple of weeks my skin will be completely fine again! X
I’ve been thinking about dry brushing lately, but with a toddler I barely have time to apply lotion! It sounds like such a good body treatment though.
I see what you mean Bree! You’ve got your hands full!
The time element is something that puts me off too, but my skin has kinda taken a turn for the worse this year for some reason, so I think I’ve got to break out the big guns to sort it out!
Hope you’re well!

Love this post! Funny how skin types differ – my face just did not agree with the Clinque cleansing balm but the Origins Improvement mask you mentioned sounds like it’d be worth me investingating! xx
You’re right, skin differs so much! This cleansing balm is one of the least upsetting for my skin! I would highly recommend the Origins mask! Thank you for commenting! x
