If you’re a regular reader round these parts you’ll probably notice a few changes. Made From Beauty has undergone a little makeover! Don’t worry, still the same old makeup, beauty and lifestyle posts, just a bit of a new look. I thought as it has been a bank holiday weekend I had a little extra time to give MadeFromBeauty.co.uk a bit of TLC!
Today is bank holiday Monday in the UK, so after the overnight changes, it means I can get stuck into a long lunch, easy makeup and catching up on some blog work!
I threw on some makeup this morning, so I thought I’d share with you what’s in my bank holiday makeup bag.
For the base I’ve gone for the KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation. A quick, easy base I can apply with my fingers. It’s something I’ve been reaching for over the past few weeks for a base that will stay in place but not feel heavy. The finish is a semi-matte, basically just like skin, so I don’t look of feel like I’ve got a mask on. The shade I use is 02 Light Rose.I topped my foundation off with a little of the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. If you remember this blog post, you’ll know I’ve been a fan of this product for a while. It’s an all rounder for me, good to cover the occasional blemish and bright enough to help the under eyes. It also has the same finish as the foundation, so I don’t have to worry about powder.
So to finish the skin, I gave myself a generous bronze with the KIKO Masterpiece Bronzer in 01 Forward Sienna. A mix of a light, medium and dark bronze, I love how you can amp up the colour or play it down where you want on the face.
On to the eyes, I gave myself a wash of coppery bronze with the Bourjois Colorband 2 in 1 Eyeshadow and Liner in 02 Brun Dadaïste across the lids. You can see my full review of these shadow sticks here. I also worked this into the bottom lashline for extra definition. Now I know I said this was all very easy-peasy bank holiday friendly makeup, but I’ve popped on a winged liner to give the look a little somethin somethin! If your struggling with winged liner head on over to my ‘Tips and Tricks: Winged Liner‘ post to get the low down.
I gave my lashes a good girl with my beloved Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers and went in with the Benefit Roller Lash. (Yes I’m still using my sample size one – I can’t part with it – I love it so much!)For the worlds easiest brows I used the L’oréal Brow Artist Plumper, my go to product when I don’t want to faff.
Finally I used my new Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in 855 Geranium. After my ‘The Lipsticks Every Woman Will Love: New Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks‘ post I am still standing by the fact that these lippys are some of the best we’ve seen in a long time! I can’t stop wearing mine, and today’s no exception!
So there we have it, an easy face for an easy morning! I hope you all have a great bank holiday Monday, let me know what your getting up to in the comments below! Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new layout and changes!
