Original Source products make a regular appearance in the Made From Beauty household. With Josh loving their shower gels and me eager to try out new products, I picked up one of their newer releases to give a go.
Josh, my partner, is a huge fan of the Original Source Tea Tree and Mint Shower Gel. It’s one of the few products he buys over and over again – I wish I had his product loyalty sometimes! It’s a zingy, super cleaning gel that gives off a boat load of minty/tea tree scent. Josh says he likes the product because it wakes him up in the morning (that would be the heavy scent) and it makes him feel really really clean (that would be the tea tree oil). What is it about blokes and that squeaky clean feeling? I have nicked a bit of this shower gel on occasion and actually found it to be pretty stripping, leaving the skin dry and flakey.
I personally like my shower gels to be on the more creamy side. So I’m not sure what made me pick up the Original Source Raspberry and Cocoa Shower Gel. So let me level with you on this one: it’s not moisturising. But I wouldn’t say it’s drying either, so I can work with that: this scent is delicious! I’m a sucker for a nice smelling shower gel!
If it smells good and gets me clean I’m one happy beauty blogger – really how much more can you ask of a shower gel? The seasonal scent of the Raspberry and Cocoa Shower Gel smells strongly of Cocoa and only slightly of Raspberrys so it’s perfect for someone with a sweet tooth!
I do have one gripe with this product though: it doesn’t lather very much. I’m a full on bubbles everywhere lover, so I was a little disappointed to find there wasn’t much foam on offer, but for the price I can live with that!
There’s lots of scents on offer from Original Source, some really sweet, others ultra cleansing…I think I might take the Black Pepper and Chilli Shower Gel for a spin if I can get my hands on it next! What about you?
