Happy Sunday everyone! Today I thought I’d just throw together some recent photos and have a bit of a chat. It’s a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, so me and Josh are enjoying a bit of time off. Things have been a bit strange around these parts recently, Josh has had some interviews to prepare for and I’ve been struggling at work, so things haven’t been great this past month. I’ve actually been signed off of work for a bit with bad health, so I’m trying to get my bearings with blogging and life.
I’m sure a lot of you saw the lack of posts last month, but I’m trying hard to get myself on top of posting for the coming month. So keep your eyes peeled for some more beauty, lifestyle, cooking and hair posts here on Made From Beauty.
Yesterday was a really nice day, me and Josh made a nice breakfast of croissants, tea and strawberries. We also made meringues for the first time. We had egg whites left over from the other nights carbonara, so I thought I’d knock some up something with them. God knows what I’m going to do with the 20 white clouds of sugar, but at least we made them!We took time to get the flat straight which was a big thing off the list. We still haven’t got things for the flat (our bedroom has a bed, a piece of my childhood furniture and our landlords horrible flowery curtains) but picking up small pieces like this metal stool has really put a smile on my face. It was only £3.99 from Dulhem Mill, but it means one of my prized possessions, this plant from a dear friend, has somewhere to live. Also for the flat I picked up this vintage hat box at a charity shop for 99p! It will be making a home in my makeup room to store, surprise surprise…hats! Now I don’t own any fancy hats that need their own box, but I am rather a collector of woolly hats so it’s great to have a place to pile them all in. Another thing on the flat front was my makeup collection. It had turned into a bit of a mess! I thought I had got myself all organised after my Nan kindly brought me lots and lots of storage for my collection, but the draws had turned into a bit of a headache! I have been saving empty tubs and box lids for a while, and finally I think I’ve got things a bit more under control! Here’s my eyeshadow draw, for your inspection…I was thinking of doing a makeup collection soon. Possibly a blog post, possibly a YouTube video, we’ll see…
