So I’m back from a little three-day hiatus! Life and work and stress and grown up things got in the way, but I’m back! I’m so glad to be back in the swing of things…
Hands up who’s found an amazing drugstore eyeshadow palette? Come on ladies, there must be a few of you? We’re talking wearable everyday, pigmented, creamy, blendable colours, including mattes, for under a fiver…anybody?
Ok, ok, I’ll let you in on it then! The Collection Little Mix All About The Eyes Palette.
I am completely in awe of this palette; it’s what the British Highstreet has been crying out for, for a long time.
Featuring a mixture of finishes, a variety of wearable shades, all in a fabulous formula, what’s there not to love?
Sure the packaging isn’t the snazziest, it’s cheap, it’s cardboard…but that honestly doesn’t bother me in the slightest with this product, because it’s £2.99! That’s right, under £3.00! I was completely and utterly shocked. I’d heard some pretty good things about Collections latest palettes, but I hadn’t really ever paid attention to the price.
The shades from left to right are: Feather, Sunkissed, Golden Sand, Dazzling Brown, Cocoa Dream and Blackbird.
And here I have swatched them in the same order:
Upon first swatch I knew that the shadows were good quality. The first thing you’ll notice is how soft they are. A lot of drugstore brands get it almost right with their shadows, then are let down by how stiff, hard and tightly packed they are. It just makes shadows so hard to work with. But there’s no such thing here! The shadows are soft, easy to pick up on your brush, and so blendable.
I’d say that these shadows knock other high end shadows out of the park. They are way better than my MAC shadows, more blendable, more smooth, even more pigmented! I also think they are on a par with my Yves Saint Laurent shadows.
My only gripe with this palette has to be the shade Feather because it’s a little too light for me to get any use out of.
So what do you think? Would you be picking this palette up any time soon?
Sam
