I’ve never been taken with monthly subscription boxes like Birch Box or Glossy Box. The idea of getting a surprise bundle of products on your door step sure seems exciting, but after taking a peek inside a few over the years I’m not sure you get your money’s worth.
So when I found out about Latest In Beauty I was over the moon. Latest In Beauty are a great company that work on the basis of boxes, there’s monthly boxes, pamper boxes, healthy boxes, you can even create your own box! But the part that makes Latest In Beauty’s boxes much more up my street is the fact that you know what you’re getting and there’s no monthly sign up. I can pick and choose to buy any box, whenever I want, and know what the posty’s delivering. (Just in case these things aren’t persuading you to check them out, they also have amazing discount codes when you sign up to their emails).
Recently I decided to snap up one if their pre-made boxes, The Glamour Spring Beauty Edit. For the bargain price of £16.98 you get a lot of bang for your buck, including a years subscription to Glamour mag!
First up let’s talk nails. In this box your talons get a major spring update thanks to Revlon. There’s a Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel (you could get one of three stunning shades). To top the colour off there’s also a Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat in the box as well. I’ve heard lots about this product so I cant wait to try it out!
There’s also a Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask to get your hair in tip top shape. Moroccan Oil is actually a brand that I haven’t tried anything from which is both strange and about to change.
There are so many products in this box that I cant wait to start using, and the KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow is no exception. I actually picked one of these up in a different shade, on my London trip (watch out for a KIKO haul soon). So I’m pretty happy to have toe to try out.
You also receive a BeautyUK High Brow All in One Brow Definition Compact. These brow powders got a lot of attention a few years ago, especially after Barbara from ThePersainBabe mentioned them on her channel. They are something I just hadn’t got around to picking up just yet, but definitely a product I can’t wait to try out.
The one product I am pretty disappointed with is the Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss. Although I wear lip glosses sometimes, the shade My Eternity is just horrible, I can’t see how it would work on anyone and it’s packed full of silver glitter. I’m sorry but no no no!
You also get a huge sample of the NUXE 24HR Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask. If you read this post, then you’ll already know I’m mad about NUXE and this mask sounds like exactly what my skin needs at the moment
For that spring flush, there’s also a cream blush by Model Co. It’s the first product I’ve tried from the brand and upon first swatch, I am impressed! Think the Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher with more pigment and you’re on the right tracks!
Lastly there’s an item that didn’t wow me, a sample of the Elie Saab L’eau Couture perfume. I’m not a fan of this scent, so I’ll be passing this one on to one of my girl friends.
So there’s the run down of the Latest In Beauty X The GLAMOUR Spring Beauty Edit. You also get a whole load of voucher codes, great service and a cute cardboard box when you order. I think the edits are usually on point; they would make lovely gifts or the perfect pick me up for great value!
Let me know what you thought of this box and if you’d want to pick one up yourself!
Sam
