H&M Home is probably one of the most affordable places to shop for on trend homeware pieces. I have been lusting after so many items for such a long time, that when I went up to London I went a little crazy in there!
First up was this gold tray and gold Ambience candle. We have had a bar cart for a while, but I had been unsure how to make it look a little more special. When I saw the tray I could just imagine some of our crystal set up on it when friends come over. We are stuck with beige carpets and magnolia walls in our rented flat, so I wanted to add in a little somethin’ somethin’, so I thought this Ambience candle would do nicely.
I picked up another two candles (here and here), and in complete contrast to the Ambience candle, these two are held in smooth concrete. I had been hankering after something concrete for the living room, a dish, a flowerpot, something…so when I saw these two I couldn’t resist! Our living room is quite tough and masculine, I am actively going for the bachelor pad look, as that’s the style I’m in to at the moment (and it keeps Josh happy).
Keeping with the masculine vibe, I managed to get this vintage signage style cushion cover for the bargain price of £2.00. I was really surprised to find good quality, trendy pieces in the sale, so I snapped up what took my fancy in that section!
I also randomly went for this lilac and copper tea light holder. I didn’t really need this, as I already have quite a few candle holders dotted around, but it was on sale for £1.00 and I thought I’d make use of it somewhere.
And I couldn’t leave H&M Home without something marble (marble print, not real marble guys!). Marble is really having a moment in homewares, not just for bathrooms or flooring, but all over the home. It seems like you can’t pick up amn issue of Elle Decoration or Living Etc without spying some marble somewhere. But with this popularity comes a price hike, and not for just the real stuff, every marble print contact paper will set you back a fair bit! So When I saw this marble print tray for only £6.99, it went straight into my basket!
Oh, and you can be proud of me for my last purchase because it is actually practical! I brought two of these metal baskets for storage. This flat is our first home and so we are still lacking in a few things, storage being one massive thing we seriously need to up. Now I know two little baskets aren’t going to make a huge difference, but I have picked these up to solve the issue of items being slung all over out bathroom. We have a collection of products stood on the end of the bath, as there is no where to put them in the actual shower, so I needed something to finally sort that junk out, and I think I’ve found the perfectly simple solution!
Let me know what you thought about items I picked up! Also I am curious about the quality of these items, they all seem wonderful right now…but has anyone had items from H&M Home for years? I’d love to hear from you about the items a little way into their life span! Before I go picking more up online…

Love that marble tray! I’ve been wanting to go pick it up from H&M for ages. It makes me happy how everything is reasonably priced haha x

I love the concrete candle holders, and the gold candle works perfectly with your mini bar set up. Great eye!
