If you’re feeling fancy on a Sunday, then I’m going to share with you some of my favorite drugstore red lipsticks.
If you’re looking for a long lasting matte finish to your pop of colour then may I suggest the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick. The shade I have is in Personne ne Rouge, a warm toned red which really packs a punch on the lips.
If that one doesn’t float your boat, but you still want a long lasting finish, prepare to be amazed by the Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in Kiss Me You Fool. This finish will have you scrubbing at your lips at the end of the day to remove it, but for parties this is a great choice as you can guarantee it will be there through drinking, eating, dancing, even kissing!
If you’re more of a fan of the traditional lipstick formula, then Rimmel have you covered with their Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick in 01. An oldie or a goodie, this is the lipstick I used to wear back in my uni days, but it’s still a staple in my collection even today.
You might be a bit more daring with your red lip choices than me and want a glossy formula. You go girl! If so, it’s Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Mayfair Red Lady. I personally love this one pushed into the lips to give a moisturising stain during the summer months.
For the woman looking for something a little bit different I would suggest the L’Oreal GlamShine Glam Matte Lipgloss in Zip It Rouge. How a gloss can be matte is beyond me, but just trust in the fact that this is a long lasting, totally matte, on the berry side of things red that you’ll fall in love with. I wore it recently in an instagram post:

Then there is the MAC Ruby Woo dupe, the L’Oreal Color Riche Exclusive Reds in Blake. The cool toned red makes your teeth look whiter, your eyes brighter and your confidence stronger! Great shade, easy to apply and relatively long lasting, an amazing lipstick for the price.
There you have it, a few new lippy’s to try, but let me know in the comments below what your favourite reds are, I still feel like I haven’t quite found ‘the one’.
