Blush and I have a funny relationship. I’m not all that fussed by it, it’s not that I don’t like it, I think a great blush can really complete a makeup look. But let’s put it this way: you won’t find me lusting after the latest blush release from Chanel, Hourglass or even Revlon. It’s just not the sort of product that gets my heart racing…
That being said, blush can be quite important. If I sport a bold lip, for instance, a little pick me up on the cheeks stops the look from looking too stark, I’m never adverse to a little perking up of the complexion.
Does primer actually make your make up stay? I’ve been wondering recently if the extra base layer actually works, and if I really need it. Some swear by primers and wouldn’t expect their base to last the whole day or night long without it.
Brows. Ah, brows.
Probably one of the biggest beauty chores out there, filling them in, threading them, setting them, tinting them, waxing them, tweezing…there’s an awful lot you can do to your brows.
When I was around fourteen, I started to have my eyebrows waxed. I know that sounds like an early age, and looking back on it, maybe it was. Luckily my waxing years ran pretty smoothly and at the age of twenty-one I still, thankfully, have a full brow.
Throughout the week I need my makeup to stay in place all day, sometimes I wear my makeup for ten hours with barely any touch ups. The one thing I really don’t want to be worrying about is my eye shadow. I haven’t got a problem reapplying my concealer quickly, dusting a bit of powder here and there but who really wants to mess about with eye shadow at work?
