I’ve been working hard on my highlighting game recently. I am intoxicated with their brightening, glowing, sheen-y ways. Over the last month I’ve dipped into my highlighting collection more times than I care to count after December’s long nights. That’s the thing with a good highlighter, no matter how naff you and your skin are because of a late night or two, it always manages to perk you up.
As a fan of a glowing complexion, I sometimes find powders a little too, well, powdery. I have however, found a couple I actually like the look of on my skin, because lets face it…we all need a little careful powder placement sometimes.
As a makeup
lover hoarder I am fortunate enough to have my pick from a wide variety of foundations every morning. I am not the type of makeup wearer to simply stick to my favourite product for weeks on end, I’m fickle like that!
Blush and I have a funny relationship. I’m not all that fussed by it, it’s not that I don’t like it, I think a great blush can really complete a makeup look. But let’s put it this way: you won’t find me lusting after the latest blush release from Chanel, Hourglass or even Revlon. It’s just not the sort of product that gets my heart racing…
That being said, blush can be quite important. If I sport a bold lip, for instance, a little pick me up on the cheeks stops the look from looking too stark, I’m never adverse to a little perking up of the complexion.
