If you’ve been keeping up with my Instagram recently you’ll know I’ve started to up my exercise routine. From personal training to going to the gym & even the off splash of swimming; I’m really trying to enjoy taking care of myself a bit more. One of the things I’ve also started is walking. I’ve really enjoyed the occasional evening walk with Josh & have even been walking alone when I have the time.
So when Go Outdoors reached out & offered to kit me out with the same walking boots as the celebrities are wearing on this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, I jumped at the chance. I couldn’t wait to try the Hi Tech Eurotrek Lite Walking Boots.
You may or may not know, I actually live in the New Forest, so I have lots of beautiful trails right on my doorstep. I know it’s going to be really handy to have a trusty pair of walking boots if I want to keep up my walking & hiking throughout the winter. So I popped the boots on & took them for a test drive in the forest with my mum for a quick half hour walk to try them out. The boots kept my feet warm & (probably even more importantly at this time of year) dry the whole time we were out. I can see why this style is the perfect choice for the celebrities who will be fighting it out in the camp this year.
Another plus is that, despite their very practical side, walking boots aren’t actually too far from catwalk fashion right now. You might have seen all over Instagram walking boot style ankle boots being paired with floaty dresses, chunky knits & flowing skirts. Whilst I wouldn’t necessarily wear this exact style with a dress; I do feel really comfortable in them with jeans for a casual look even when I’m not walking. But, if you’d rather check out the styles available on Go Outdoors, I think you’d probably find a pair of boots which double up as both a fashion statement & a practical pair of shoes.
