Keeping hair healthy during the constant cycle of wash-dry-wash-dry when you up your fitness routine seems to be an uphill struggle. I’ve been Personal Training twice a week, swimming & going for walks for the past month – a dramatic lifestyle change. Although my body & mind both feel better for the improvement in my fitness routine, my hair isn’t coping so well. With, what seems like, a constant need to wash my hair I’ve noticed it becoming dry & frizzier (just what I need).

I decided the best way to help deal with my hairs hissy fit was to go back to products that can actually do good, rather than just gloss (literally) over the problem. And whenever I’m looking for a brand to truly nourish my hair, I always go back to Shea Moisture. As you’ll see in THIS post (which I hardly recognise myself in now!) I’ve been a fan of Shea Moisture for quite some time.

When looking for hair products, unfortunately, it’s rare to come across a brand that is completely free from sulphates, phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, mineral oil and petroleum, as well as being cruelty-free. And in English – that means free from all the junk you don’t want in your haircare, as well as keeping the bunnies safe!

In my depths of my haircare disaster, I couldn’t wait to get stuck into the Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate & Repair Shampoo & Conditioner. I was thankful to find that the brand have brought yet another hydrating, fortifying & nourishing formula to the table with this one! Within just one wash, my hair was feeling softer & looked shinier – words I never thought I’d use again when it came to my hair after weeks of gym & pool abuse.

Now I can’t put my hair miraculous recovery solely down to the shampoo & conditioner in this range. A special shout out absolutely has to go to the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate & Repair Protein Power Treatment. This protein-strong treatment, formulated with Manuka Honey & Yogurt (the good stuff), calmed frizz, softens ends & gave my hair its bounce again in as little as 5 minutes.

Then in a desperate attempt at a pamper before the next HIIT workout, I’ve also been using the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Multi-Action Leave-In. Which, despite its extremely long name, is actually extremely easy to use. I’ve been popping a few squirts of the treatment all over wet hair being blow-drying, as well as pumping a couple of squirts into dry hair just before I put it up for a workout. I really like the way the product quickly absorbs into the hair, adding just enough hydration & reconditioning to smooth hair down from its frizzy, splitting ledge.

If you’re looking for haircare that will truly make a difference to its overall condition then I cannot recommend She Moisture enough! For hair going through a rough patch, the brand will see you through to heavenly locks in not time.
