Fresh & Dewy Makeup LookI’ve been a bit naughty recently and have been skipping my beauty sleep – there just isn’t enough hours in the day! The trouble with skipping sleep is that skin often looses its glow and can end up looking a bit lack lustre, so in today’s post I’m going to share my go to look for fresh, glowing skin – because it’s all about faking it till you make it here on Made From Beauty.

For the base I like to go with something light and moisturising to give skin a boost. I’d suggest a BB or CC cream for this and the one I’ve been loving at the moment is the Nip+Fab CC Cream. The moisturising formula drenches skin in much needed moisture, giving a glow that lasts and a good medium coverage that lasts all day. To conceal those bags and brighten the undereye I’ve been reaching for the Barry M Flawless Concealer. I love this concealer for a natural, brighten effect to cheat the wide awake look. To keep those dewy base products in place I like to use a light reflecting powder to amp up the glow, and when it comes to light enhancing powders there’s nothing better than the Guerlain Meteorites Powder Pearls. This beautifully light setting powder instantly freshens up your look with a mixture of purple tones to brighten, pearl to highlight and green to counteract redness, with a touch of pink to bring colour back to sallow skin.To add that extra glow to the high points of my face I dot on a touch of the Rimmel Good to Glow Highlighter in Soho Glow.

Finally for base products I love to use a cream or liquid blusher to give a kiss of colour to the cheeks that lasts all day and doesn’t set to a matte finish (it’s all about that glow with this look). The one I’ve digged out of my collection at the moment is the Bourjois Aqua Blush in Cocoricorail. This blush is a beautiful alternative to a powder and looks natural whilst still giving a decent flush of colour. DSC_0864For the eyes, I like to stick with the cream products for a natural look. For an easy cream shadow that anything can use I would suggest you check out the Maybelline Colour Tattoos. Don’t let the name put you off of these beautiful products, they aren’t as scary as they might sound! These little pots of colour are great for a wash of colour that can be smoothed on with fingers, they are easy to blend and yet last all day. The colour I’m using here is one of my favourites from the collection, On and On Bronze, but if you want to see my review and swatches of the whole collection click HERE. To keep things simple I just slick on a cost of mascara to frame the eyes, the one I’m using here is the Revlon Length and Volume from the new mascara menu at Revlon, and again, you can read my full review of this mascara and others from the collection HERE.

DSC_0865On the lips I’m a big fan of adding just a touch of colour with a rosey, nude colour like the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Lipstick in 45. This shade is great for adding just enough colour to the lips, whilst keeping things natural and fresh. I have written a full review of most of that shades in this collection HERE so head on over and take a look if you like nude shades!

So what are your go-to products for a fresh and dewy look? And have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned in this post? Let me know in the comments below!
