Made From Beauty The BIG Beauty Clear Out FoundationsOne of my biggest beauty weaknesses is base products. I absolutely love trying new foundations and experimenting with different finishes. As a bit of a beauty geek I love to have a different base for every occasion; work, weekends, nights out, summer, winter…the list goes on. The trouble with this however is that I had built up such a huge collection that it’s now time to say goodbye to the ones I no longer reach for.

L’Oréal True Match Foundation

I’m sadly waving goodbye to this much loved bottle of True Match in the old formulation. If you read my review a little while back, you’ll know L’Oréal have amped up this cult foundations formula to add more glow and sadly, less staying power. Bold claims here guys: but I think I actually prefer this version, the old formulation! I’m clearing this bottle out because it is pretty much all gone, but I’ll forever moan its loss.

L’Oréal Lumi Magique Foundation

After my love of the True Match foundation by L’Oréal, I couldn’t wait to try out the Lumi Magique foundation. I have to say I loved this formula; glowy, pretty long lasting and a pleasure to use. I’m parting ways with this bottle because it has been in my collection a bit too long and is starting to change colour. Although I loved this base, I won’t be repurchasing. I just cannot justify having both the Lumi Magique and the True Match in my collection after the reformulation of True Match – they are just too similar now!

Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting Cream

Now this is a base I am very sad to see go. I absolutely love the Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting Cream, it has been my go to base at the weekend for many years – which is kind of the problem here, this tube has been knocking about in my collection for over a year, so I just feel like its time to pick up a fresh bottle. I’ll probably wait till the warmer weather rolls around, as I love to wear this lightweight, medium coverage, moisturising base then.

B. Confident CC Cream in Medium SPF 45

On the flip side to my feelings about the Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting Cream, I cannot wait to get rid of the B. Confident CC Cream in Medium SPF 45! I honestly used this product twice then shoved it to the back of the drawer. It sounded promising, at a great price point, with SPF 45, however I found the product began to separate and flake off of my skin after only half and hour of wear. It was also surprisingly drying for a CC Cream, just not my cup of tea.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream

I really tried with the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream. I wanted to love this product so much as it seemed like a great idea; a moisturiser that would nourish the skin whilst adapting to your skin tone as a sheer wash of coverage to be worn alone or under foundation. But…there was two major problems with this product I just couldn’t look past; firstly I don’t find the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream very nourishing at all, a little drying to be honest, and secondly the colour that was supposed to adapt to my skin tone was alway way too orange and dark for me, it was all too much hassle for me really!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation

Another Bourjois foundation I’m sorry to be saying goodbye to. The Healthy Mix Serum foundation is a beautiful moisturising, medium to full coverage base that give a good amount of glow and seriously perks up the complexion. The reason I’m letting this one go (which you can’t tell from this picture) is that the bottle is pretty much empty, but I’ll be repurchasing this one pretty smartish!

Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector

If you read my review on this product way back when, you’ll know I wasn’t the biggest fan of this product from the start. I was again on the hunt for a great drugstore BB cream and was hopefully for this one. However, I found this product separated around my nose and chin area whilst making me super oily. The colour was also off on this one…I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this one!

Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation

This used to be my everyday foundation of choice back in the day! Looking back, I can’t believe I actually used to take a flat sponge and smooth this thick cream (in fact, almost solid) foundation on to my face. The coverage is pretty intense and the finish is very heavy, so not my cup of tea now, but this product will always hold a little place in my heart!
