DSC_0080I have, like thousands of women all over the world, been a fan of the Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish for many years. It was, like lots of beauty lovers my age, one of my first steps into ‘real’ skincare. I felt like a grown up slathering the thick cream cleanser all over my damp face, washing away the heavy black liner and matte foundation (it was the early 2000’s after all).

Sometimes with firm favourites, with new releases to the beauty world, the same old cleanser can get a little boring and so it has been a long time since I’d picked up a tube. So as I was mulling around Boots last week doing my Christmas shopping (I suggest staying at home, buy everything on the internet, the crowds were horrendous!) this limited edition Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser in Sweet Orange & Mint took my fancy.

This cute little 50ml bottle (other larger sizes available too) has been launched just in time for Christmas stockings, for a limited time only, in a gorgeous spin on the beloved classic. The sweet orange and mint fragrance gives the gentle cleanser a fresh, awakening feeling – just the thing for those cold, sleepy mornings.

I personally love this limited edition fragrance; the uplifting orange oil soothes the skin, whilst blending with the peppermint hint to kick start my day. And I’m glad to say it performs just a brilliantly as the original; soothing, cleansing without stripping the skin, balancing it to nourish, keep blemishes at bay and plump the under-eyes.

At £9.75 the 50ml makes it a perfect gift for dedicated Cleanse and Polish lovers or people who have never tried the brand before. To add to the Christmasiness (is that a word?) the limited edition packaging is very pretty yet chic, and there’s even a limited edition muslin cloth included, with a beautiful bronze trim – a nice touch!
