DSC_0073I’ll be honest, I tend to neglect my bodycare a little. I’m not talking showering, but when it comes to things like fake tanning and moisturising I’m not the best. I can play with skincare and makeup all day, but to be perfectly honest, I don’t enjoy tending to the rest of my body.

So for me to find a bodycare range, that actually makes me look forward to slapping on the moisture or fake tanning those pins, is really something to write home about.

The new Dove Derma Spa range has come as a welcome update to the brands long loved, bodycare range.

The range is formulated with a beautiful ‘satin gel’ texture, which means you can wave bye-bye to sticky skin and say hello to your smooth, soft body (even whilst the lotion sinks in).

I think most of us know Dove creates products that are gentle on the skin, nourishing to apply and subtly scented; but I’ll be honest, there hasn’t been a product from the brand that has really excited me for a long time.

As the weather has taken a turn for the worse in the UK, my skin, especially on my hands, has been seriously lacking in moisture and it was whilst searching the isles of Boots for a miracle product that I came across the range.

Now I wouldn’t go so far to say these are ‘miracle products’ but they are pretty damn good! Easy to apply, quick to sink in, and keep skin hydrated all day long.

The first product I tried from the range was the new Derma Spa Uplifted+ Body Lotion.

Can we just talk about the packaging for a moment?

I am not normally a fan of drugstore bodycare packaging. Most brands go for cheap packaging that is either garish or bright – not really something I’d like to display in my beauty room. Yet Dove have hit the nail on the head with the Derma Spa range. The packaging is sleek, simple and pretty.

I loved the Derma Spa Uplifted+ Body Lotion from first application, definitely my go-to moisturiser for the colder months now!

In fact, I was so impressed with the Derma Spa Uplifted+ Body Lotion that I went back to Boots for the Derma Spa Summer Revived Fair to Medium Skin Body Lotion. I’ve liked the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion for many years (it was a revolutionary product when it released) so I was expecting to love the Derma Spa Summer Revived lotion too, and I wasn’t disappointed. The emphasis with this product is in the moisture, not the tan. Think subtle colour, gradually, that just gives skin a bit of a lift.

And what was I saying earlier about dry hands? If like me, you’re a little worried your hands might turn into a scaley mess over the coming colder months, look no further than the Dove Derma Spa Intensive Hand Cream.

Soft hands in a flash with a non-greasy formula (think ‘satin gel’ again) that sinks in and perks up fingers instantly.
