I am a complete skincare lover! Absolutely, I love the ritual of taking the time to apply my lotions and potions from little glass bottles each day. Starting in the morning, I go for an easy routine that I can apply and mix up depending on my skins needs that day. So today I’m going to share with you my current morning skincare routine, with my evening routine to follow shortly.

So first things first, to cleanse: I love my Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and use it most nights, and have found myself using it more and more in the mornings too. It’s the perfect thing if I’ve used a chemical exfoliant the night before to really give my skin a great clean without stripping it.

The Micro Cleanse really is the best of both worlds when my skins in need of a bit of exfoliating, combining acid and manual exfolients to reveal softer, smoother skin ready for my serum.

Right now the flavour of the month is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m not sure if this product really does all that much, but it’s my replacement of a traditional toner, so I’ll be sticking to it. It’s certainly a nice addition, to calm the skin and refresh me in the early mornings.

Not the worlds most advanced serum, but a good drugstore option. Enriched with Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and collagen to give skin a moisture boost and brightened appearance. I also love this serum because it has small light reflective particles, giving skin a quick boost of life before you even put your makeup on.

Light enough for under makeup, and it’s nice to know Estée Lauders wonder serum is working its magic throughout the day. I’ve noticed my under eyes have become brighter and more hydrated since using this religiously for the past few months, so that’s not bad in my book!

It’s a nice ‘outer layer’ you might say, for my other skincare to really get to work underneath. Keeps my skin soft and smooth, brilliant base for makeup and light enough to be comfortable.

Made From Beauty: My Morning Skincare Routine Avene HydranceIf my skin isn’t too great, with a few blemishes, I swap this moisturiser for a bit of the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. I have loved this product for years! Perfect at calming redness, clearing up spots and skin for a fresher, brand new complexion. It’s honestly been one of my go-to products for so long, I can’t imagine not having a bottle in the skincare cabinet!

Made From Beauty: My Morning Skincare Routine Effaclare DuoTo top off my morning routine, I apply a high factor SPF to protect my face from harmful UV rays, especially as I use a lot of AHA’s in my skincare, making skin more susceptible to sun damage. The one I’m making my way through at the moment is the Benefit Dream Screen SPF PA 45+++ for maximum protection housed in a lightweight, silky cream that smooths skin just before makeup.

Keep an eye out for my upcoming evening skincare routine; that’s when things get serious! More serums, eye creams, treatments…maybe I will do a separate post all about my favourite masks too? It’s all too much to fit into one post – I told you I loved skincare!

Have you tired any of the products in this post? Let me know in the comments below!
