Made From Beauty Betty-Lou Manizer CoverI’m currently doing a little sun dance. The weather has been stunning over the past few days and then today…not so much. There might be lots of clouds in the sky, but that isn’t stopping me from embracing a little summer makeup.

I’ve even managed to catch a few rays recently, so with a little bit more colour in my face, I thought it would be about time to pick up a product I’ve had my eye on for a while; the Betty-Lou Manizer from The Balm Cosmetics.

There’s always something about warmer weather that makes me want to pile on the highlighter and bronze products. Glowing, tanned skin, with a healthy sheen – that’s pretty much what we all want isn’t it?

I’ve used The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter for about a year now (see here on the left) and it’s become a true Made From Beauty favourite. High beam, bright shining highlight! You can read my full review of that product here.So as my love for the Mary-Lou Manizer continues, I wanted to try another shade of The Balm’s famous highlighter. And what better choice than the Betty-Lou Manizer!

A gold bronze highlight which warms the complexion, whilst turning heads!

Just like all of The Balm’s powders, the Betty-Lou Manizer is finely milled (no chunks of glitter here) and easily blendable.

As you can see, the Mary-Lou Manizer (on the left) is a cool toned, champagne highlight, perfect for lighter skin tones. The Betty-Lou Manizer (on the right) definetly requires a little more of a deep, or olive skin tone to pull off on the high points of the face.

Perfectly teamed with the layers of tan I’ve been slapping on recently, I like to use it lightly across the tops of the cheekbones. This gives the illusion of that holiday glow. It is also stunning as an eyeshadow, used all over the lid for a warm, sultry look.

I’ll be featuring a makeup look with this product soon on Made From Beauty, so keep an eye out!
