Made From Beauty Brand Focus Bumble & BumbleIt’s been a little while since there’s been a hair post on Made From Beauty, so today I thought I’d share one of my favourite lock-loving brands. When it comes to hair care, be it styling or nourishing treatments, I always turn to Bumble & Bumble.

Sure their products can sometimes be a little pricey, but the quality of their products has never let me down, and that is something I’m happy to pay for.
There are products I’ve used in the past from the range that I really miss. Like their Spray de Mode, a workable hairspray that remembers your style without adding crispiness or stickiness. Or there’s their Prep Spray that detangles and nourishes hair in one spritz.

The products I currently have on hand from Bumble & Bumble are the Surf Spray, the Hairdressers Invisible Oil/UV Protector Primer and their Bb.Texture Creme.

The Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray has to be one of the brands most famous products. I’ve mentioned this product a lot on Made From Beauty, as it’s the thing I turn to time and time again for beachy waves. For months I was spraying this product on to dry hair, and I couldn’t work out why it wasn’t working for me, like I mentioned in this post. But since actually taking the time to read the directions, and realising I should have been applying it to wet hair, I have completely fallen in love with this product. It seems like no matter what style I’m going for, just a few spritzes of this pre-blow dry gives my hair a matte, gritty texture. Perfect for long waves with oomph or updos with plenty of sexy texture.

Also along the lines of sexy texture, another product I’m crazy about from Bumble & Bumble is the Texture Creme. Just a small amount – small being the important word, you can easily overdo this product – working into wet hair will give you hold, pieciness, and separation to your style in all the right ways. As my hair is quite thick, this product works really well for my hair, but if you have fine hair I could see that this might weigh your hair down too much, so just bear that in mind.

And the most recent product I added to my little Bumble & Bumble collection is the Hairdressers Invisible Oil/UV Protector Primer. A highly anticipated launch, when Bumble & Bumble released their Bb.Hairdressers Invisible Oil collection, the beauty world lit up! The idea behind the collection being that the products condition and smooth hair, without weighing it down or leaving that tell-tell residue. And boy does this product fit that claim perfectly! I picked up this miniature version when in London a little while ago, as I do with a lot of Bumble & Bumble products (what was I saying about the price?) just to see if it could really live up to its claims. I am happy to report it was love at first application! My hair is notoriously frizzy, thick and curly, so I often use heavy oils to weigh it down, reduce the frizz, and relax the curls. This is all well and good, but it can mean I have to wash it everyday, otherwise things can get greasy quickly! So this product has become a complete saviour! Knowing I can spray this all throughout my hair when its wet, then blow dry it easier (and quicker) with minimal frizz, AND protect my hair against heat styling and UV rays all at the same time – well, that makes me one very happy lady!

There are still a few things I really want to try from the brand, including the new Surf Infusion Spray (think say beachy texture as the original, but with added tropical oils – a better choice for my frizzy hair) and the Bb. Cityswept Finish Spray (to achieve that ‘broken-in’ look as Bumble & Bumble would say).

Have you tried any Bumble & Bumble products? If so I’ve love to know what you thought, leave me a comment below – let’s chat all things hair!
