Made From Beauty Aussie Shower Gel Fresh Mate ReviewI had the summeriest of days yesterday. The weather was amazing, mum and I went vintage homeware shopping in the sun (blog post coming soon), my hair was that perfect sort of beachy texture – thanks to the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray – and I started the day with one of my new favorites; the Aussie Shower Gel Fresh Mate.

As the weather gets warmer and warmer in the UK, I’m craving those summery, beachy products. So it’s lovely to start the day with a shower full of a sweet, fresh scent.

I’ve been a fan of Aussie hair products for years, the 3 Minute Miracle, the Mega Instant Conditioner and the Take the Heat Leave In Conditioning Cream just to name a few. So when I heard that the brand were launching a range of shower gels, featuring their most famous scents, earlier this year, I couldn’t wait to give them a try.

The only trouble was at nearly £5.00 they were a little pricey for a shower gel really. It was an offer at Superdrug a couple of weeks ago that made me finally take the plunge, and boy am I glad I did!

I decided to try the Fresh Mate Body Wash, with Eucalyptus extract, as my first dip into the range.

The first thing you need to know is that these really are just a shower gel. They aren’t going to change your life, but they will get you clean.

The second thing you need to know is that they smell amazing. That smell will take over your bathroom and linger on the skin for a lot longer than most shower gels.

I found the Fresh Mate Body Wash to be a great everyday product. Expect squeaky clean limbs, because of the Eucalyptus extract, and silky, soft skin. I would say the shower gels aren’t moisturising per say, but there certainly isn’t any parched skin in sight when you emerge for your little puff of sweet smelling goodness.

There’s lots of lather, so you can really sudd up and take in the luxurious feel of the product – not half bad for just a shower gel!

I’d say if you’re already a fan of the Aussie scents, give these a whiff next time you’re perusing the aisles of your local Boots or Superdrug. Pick one up if you’re after a little treat for the summer, it sure is a great way to start the day!
